The progression is Windows98, Windows98SE, WindowsME and then the big changover to WindowsXP. I'm not aware of a windows2002. I know they will not play on smoothly or with sound on Windows Media Player but try them and see if you see anything that looks like video, albeit, choppy video.
I have Windows XP, Home Edition, Version 2002.  I am able to see video perfectly after I slight hiccup at the very beggining with WMP-10, but no audio.  I can't open the files with MPC, I just get the error message.  Maybe it has something to do with "rar" or "WinRar" that you talked about a couple pages ago, which I did not understand at all.

You should be able to play these files if you can play them at all on WMP 10. So, hmm, nothing at all will play on Media Player Classic, your computer chokes on it regardless of what the file is, correct?

Did you try another video file and it plays or not?

Rar is just a different way to zip files better compressiong so rar isn't a problem these files were never rared? These are mpg (mpeg ) files correct? Not zip files or rar files the two clips you are taliking about are small enough to be uploaded and downloaded without splitting so I'm sure they are mpegs.

Here is a fresh upload of MPC and AC3 filter for you to work with. So we know we are on the same page working with the same software.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/aim5wq

Put that other MPC aside and unzip this and take this one out and try it.  See if the same error is generated.

When you run Media Player Classic, do Help, About. What version does it say?

As for Windows, XP = 2002. Same thing. (System control panel)

Do you run Media Player Classic, and then File, Open the video? Or do you double click the video files? Or drag the videos and drop onto Media Player Classic?

Hi different, I googled "media player classic" and "not a valid Win32 application" and got nothing of interest. I have never heard this problem associated with MPC before.

If this is the same download you posted a couple pages back I already downloaded it, but I didn't unzip it.  How do you do that?

Don't you have an unzipping program? No, I guess not

Did you check your version of MPC like differentlife suggested?

I'm putting the player and AC3 up as seperate files now so you don't have to unzip them.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/7fqpiu

http://www.sendspace.com/file/7bf6sd

that is both with no zip.

Once you have the media player double click it to open it. And if it works without giving you the error go to

file=>open file=>Kat HD vid

and if it then gives you the same error message it is likely something else besides the MPC or the HD mpeg that file was proven good   in  playing in WMP-10.

OMG, I feel so stupid.  I got it working at least.

Instead of finding the file I wanted to open and then choosing what to open it with I tried finding MPC first, opening it, and then opening the file I wanted to play, and voila'.  In my confusion I had probably downloaded MPC 3 or 4 different times trying to get one that worked.

Thanks for your help.  I owe you guys one.

Yeah, thanks a lot.  I don't even want to tell you what I was doing wrong.  It's quite embarrasing.  I guess I'm just trying to figure it all out as I go.

Yeah, while I was killing time waiting to help Bigshady, I noticed that Kellie Pickler has her zipper to her jeans unzipped during the Girls Medley.. that is detail that you can't get anywhere else. I guess those pants were too tight to zip up. LOL I love these HD vids so much!
