Already, here is the final new performance video that I have....Somewhere Over The Rainbow for Top 2 performance night. This is another amazing performance and Katharine looks absolutely radient from the floor of the stage
As I've previously mentioned this file has some issues, (including an especially major audio dropout during the acappella section of the song ) so I'm hoping that diff can work some of his cappers magic here. The vast majority looks good. Once again the specs are typical Fox HD720p fare, specifically:
Video: MPEG2 Video 1280x720 59.94fps 19000Kbps [Video] Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 448Kbps [Audio] Subtitle: DVD Subpicture [Subtitle]
Here is my screen shot, I liked her expression during a dissolve from another camera so this is really two pictures in one.
And the files are up at MegaUpload again.
SOTR 720p Chunk 1 (299 MB)
SOTR 720p Chunk 2 (265 MB)
Again use HJSplit to join the two pieces.
That sounds great to me..... I'll be waiting for the Sendspace links patiencely.
However, I don't know why you want Diff to edit the TS stream.
Shouldn't the unedited video provides the best quality of both of sound and picture?
I meant the untouched video that comes directly from the sources should give the audiences better than the one that had been edited, shouldn't it?
Hi zarut! I'm just trimming the extra stuff at the beginning and the end and repackaging it to MPEG-PS, the more common type of mpg video. Don't worry, it's a completely lossless edit. No reencoding of either the video or audio stream.
IBICF is half up and AGNBTB is in the upload queue. I'll check out BHACT and OTR next.
Last part downloading now. nother half hr. If the video is contiguous then I should be able to do what you say. In theory. On a good day. With luck.
I don't suppose there's an independently sourced AC3 out there? Anybody see AVIs with AC3 audio of this performance?
VLC and MPC definitely handle glitches differently. VLC seems the most robust. But the real test is how VRD or the other software I have handles it. We'll see.
What a great shot! The angle is perfect.
That look is so sexy!
She has one of the best faces and set of eyes I've ever seen!
Here is what I moved over and the order I plan to upload them
JC Penney Jam (done)
My Destiny (done)
I Believe I Can Fly (done)
I Ain't Got Nothing But The Blues (done)
Black Horse And The Cherry Tree Top 2 (done)
SOTR Top 2 (done)
Boy vs. Girl (Taylor/Kat montage)
Finale Ford Commerical Kat & Tay (one of two FoMoCo commercials Vinman didn't cap)
Top 3 Night phone # recap with rehearsal footage
Top2 Ph# w/ rehearsal footage (hoarse Kat struggling)
Other stuff I capped and could upload :
D. Powter performing Bad Day live w/ Season 5 recap montage on video behind him
JC Penney Jam McBride performance
Updated progress report above. ^^^^^ Finale Ford commercial added to list, I haven't capped it yet so it is still an unknown quality-wise. I'll start on uploading those likely late Sunday, I'm using my upload bandwith for other non-Katharine stuff currently.
OK, this is the first of the non-performance HD Kat uploads that I'm going to make. This is the Taylor versus Katharine (aka Boy vs. Girl) montage video show during the Top 2 performance night. The same specifications as the previous performance clips (namely Fox HD720p) Here is a screenshot ( this montage has clips of the two auditions, no singing, in HD, which is where this shot is from):
Uploaded as a single file at MegaUpload:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CWZ8WKA2 (380 MB)
Dress rehearsal footage from Top 2 and Top3 performance nights (played during phone number recaps) , both of 'em in a .rar.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SINWP9TY (302 MB)
The BHATCT from Top 2 night clip shows just how much Kat was stuggling before the cortisone injection was administered.
I never knew there were teleprompters in the studio! I guess forgetting the lyrics isn't the mortal sin that the judges make it seem.
I'm pretty sure that the teleprompters are there only at the two final shows at the Kodak theater, prior to that they have to memorize the lyrics.
Okay this is the last Ford commercial, where Kat and Tay go to the drive in and see scenes from the prior Ford commercials and the Mustang key presentation to Kat and Tay and also part of "Best Family Moment" Award nominees through the part that shows Kat and Dan McPhee. Two stills:
Same specs at Mega still

This one is for diff and anyone else out there who wants an HD1080i cap of Martina McBride's performance of This One's For The Girls from last years JC Penney Jam broadcast. Screen shot:
Downlaod both peices and join'em with HJSplit:
Chunk 1 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3MRAMMKW (295 MB)
Chunk 2 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7RMI28RZ (242 MB)
Next one is Danial Powter and the Bad Day montage from the Top 2 night and that will be it.
Why thank you! Thank you very much! Just a long overdue note I've put up all the trimmed Kat mpgs from these fantastic uploads in the HQ Divx sticky, currently page 5, Nov 29, 2007 post. All except OTR Top 2 which should be up later. sometime.
Oh, you must have missed my Taylor Hicks mega post a while back. The question answered(from wikipedia):
Martina McBride (born Martina Mariea Schiff, July 29, 1966 in Sharon, Kansas) is an American country-pop music singer-songwriter. She made her debut in 1992 with the release of her album The Time Has Come; however, it was not until the release of her second album, The Way That I Am, that she first had a major hit with "My Baby Loves Me", which peaked at #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts.
She rose to stardom in the late '90s, starting out with a more traditionalist approach and moving into pop-friendlier territory. Ώ]
Between 1992 and the present, Martina has recorded a total of ten albums: seven studio albums, a Greatest Hits package, a compilation of covers, and an album of Christmas music. Of these ten albums, two are certified gold, and seven are certified platinum or higher. To date, she has also charted more than thirty singles on the U.S. country singles charts. Her biggest hit to date has been "I Love You", which spent five weeks at Number One in 1999. In all, Martina has scored six Number One singles: five on the U.S. BillboardBillboard Adult Contemporary charts. In addition, Martina has won the Country Music Association's "Female Vocalist of the Year" four times (tied with Reba McEntire for the most wins), and the Academy of Country Music's "Top Female Vocalist" award three times. country charts, and one on the
According to those who know her songs and her voice, she has been called "Celine Dion of Country Music" on account of her soprano vocals. ΐ]
She was a mentor on during AI6.
