Yeah, Carrie was stunned by how dredful Taylor sounded on the song and couldn't get her hands to move. I uploaded some full episodes of American Idol this week and there is a thread on this forum with the links for the entire fourth, eight and tenth episodes if you want those. Today, I edited out the Katharine stuff from those three episodes. I think I have the exact same caps! If I happen to lose my hard drives and DVD backups, I'll know who to contact! well, the last of the trist collection, HD/ASU is going up and out. part 1 anyway. part 2 might have to wait til tomorrow. This sucker is 2nd only to rainbow in size. I love the way Kat literally sings "Kat Pack" at the end. That could be a song in itself.

I hope it isn't Tommy Mattola Those Kat clip caps I made from full episode caps that I downloaded off of Emule, I checked the torrents but they were completely dead. They are widescreen and I know for a fact that somebody at another Kat forum used them as source material for caps but the links were long gone by the time I was trying to get those clips. The wmv version of Kat's Audition that is passed around now is pretty bad...especially the audio. That audition is nice. Did you look at them? And they are the same as you have on resolution? I know who to contact when my hard drive frags then....

CRB...what software did you use to edit and convert Kat's Audition? The quality is way better than anything i've been able to create. =========================================== I used a program called Virtual Dub Mod, I tried it with regular Virtual Dub, the one I had mentioned to you yesterday, and it said that the Audio had an unrecognizable codec or something so I started looking for codecs and they are basically MP3 codecs that some German firm holds patents on, they must have major lawyers up the wazoo because nobody would tell how to get them. I couldn't find a link to download the codec for Virtual Dub that I needed and noticed a Wikipedia entry that mentioned this Virtual Dub Mod, which is sort of like the bootleggers tweaked version or Virtual Dub...it comes pre-loaded with a huge number of codecs. So I grabbed and it gave me the a similar warning about the audio track then it let me make the clips anyway. I saved the link for the download for you because I though you might want it: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=65889&package_id=63653&release_id=352709 These were "direct copy" clips (avi in and avi out) I didn't re-encode either video or audio on them. After I figured out what I was doing...first time and all .... each clip took only a couple of seconds. That Virtual Dub Mod is pretty easy to use. The ones I made that attempting to re-encoded lost video quality, I tried DivX 6.25 codec re-encoding and it was considerbly worse. So I just stuck with the avi and they look just as good as the original. I hope this helps you, McPheever63.
