I was there. I was sitting or rather standing and screaming, right in the front row, dead center. Kat along with each other Idol was standing just a few feet in front of me as they performed (when they weren't moving around of course)First I want to say I am a Taylor fan, or so I believed. I now can say without a doubt that I love each and every one of them. I am so proud of all these young people. I had the best time of my life last night! Now for Kat. I met Kat before the show at the meet and greet along with all the other Idols. When I got to Kat I looked into her eyes and saw just how vulnerable she truly is. Now I admit I have seen and read and heard alot of negative comments about her. I have tried my best not to fall into judging her myself. But last night as I looked at her, I saw a truly beautiful young girl who is very very vulnerable. There is a sadness in her eyes that you just don't see in pictures or on TV. But in person? It was like looking into a fawn's eyes. That might sound corny and I apologize if it does. But something touched my heart immediately. I asked her how her foot was and she simply replied "awwwwww" as if no one had asked that yet and a tear formed in the corner of her eye. She then smiled so I could take her picture and I smiled back and told her she was so pretty. That's about all that would come out of my mouth. She is stunningly beautiful. On stage she was very disappointed that she could not do more than two songs. I can't remember if she said why but the impression I got was that they did not want her over doing it up there. She was moving around quite a bit and should be commended because she kept up with the others and she even showed us her boot thing that was on her foot. Taylor by the way seems very very protective of her. On stage he was right behind her and seemed to ready should she lose her balance. He even hopped a couple of steps as she did. She had to because of her foot of course but he kind of played it off like a dance..lol. I thought that was cute. Since I was in the very front I don't know what happened behind me. Whether someone was drunk and rude back there, I just don't know. I have seen alot of ugly comments made in the media about Kat and last night and I can tell you they are completely wrong. She teared up on stage, yes, but she was hearing the screams of many many of her fans and it was overwhelming. You could see it in her face. I screamed just as loud as any of her die hard fans. I wanted her to know 'this mom' was very very proud of her. (I felt like a proud mom of all these wonderful young people) I screamed her name then and she glanced down at me and I just smiled back a big smile. She saw me and smiled tooYou Kat fans can be very proud of that young lady. Hang in there with her no matter what any one says. Just be there for her. She is going to go far. Remember she is young, so very young. I did not realize how young until I saw into her eyes
