Fixed it Shady thanks for pointing that out.

Sort of strange, but fixed now it.

The link adding Pop Up left the extra http:// on there when I put the link in rather than deleting it like it usually does.

^Cool, thanks.   What's the difference between the FLV and AVI versions anyway?  I'm saving them all in AVI version for consistency.

I try to keep the bitrate up on the AVI ones high enough to keep the quality up but it seems like Super ends up making them smaller then the FLV files for some reason. Okay, what is the difference?

1. You can play DivX codec AVI on pretty much any video player extant, FLV files take a special player to view.

2. The AVI is a conversion that compromises the quality slightly, you can't really see it at the files  native resolution (320X240) but if you take them up to full screen, or side by side even,  you can see some softening of video quality. Both look pretty dredful at fullscreen though.

3. The unconverted FLV is the "source" file in this instance (as close to the source as we have) and some people may want to convert it themselves for Ipod, gif or other something else in the future and starting with the FLV is the way to go rather than another layer of conversion.

Hey all,
This site's pretty coo!!
I have been keeping up with all of katharine's video blogs.I Its great what she is doing .  I tried to watch her
 live chat but got about 30 seconds of it. Too bad about not being any sound. Would have been nice
hear it all.
Anyone got an Flv or avi of this live chat?

The only cap we have so far is a soundless version that Kat's people uploaded.  So we don't have one with audio yet.

honolulugirl @ IDF upped one she capped herself and it does have sound but it missing the beginning and starts and stops and skips, so this might be all we get:

Thank you for this link!  But when I downloaded it, it opens up on my WMP and there is sound but no video  I am not very high tech when it comes to computers, did I do something wrong??

That file is encoded with a   DivX codec so go to www.divx.com and download the divx player and install that and you should be able to see the video.

Get the Free Download (14.8MB) from here

And install it and try the video again and it should work.

As a side issue, I also recommend that you get another player besides WMP,  that player isn't  all that great.

One of the best is the VLC player, I'll upload the install package to Sendspace to save you having to look around for it.  Here:

VLC Installlation program

Just download and run that and you will have a great player.

One page, driven by a date sorted pulldown list. We are going to end up with hundreds of these.

I think I have them all and in the right order. I use the date that the video was downloaded which may may not be either the date it was recorded or first put up. I decided to do this just a couple of days ago and had to backtrack to catch up.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I'M MISSING ANY OR HAVE A DATE COMPLETELY WRONG!

You might want to put this link in the first thread for those who can't download and have trouble with the actual site. Wouldn't if be nice if they were in the right order there and labeled with the date?

I'm just going to add to the welcom video and the billboards diary, I think that counts too.
