Obviously I am sure they are extremely proud of their daughter. One thing that struck me when watching that video of Kat's first concert in which she was completely touched by the audience reaction was that her mom really deserved to see it. It also struck me that her mom probably hadn't see it. Although I am sure she goes on the net, she probably also has to be weary of the american idol sites because of the negativity of those people who have nothing good going for them. She just doesn't come across the media that we do. I was checking out some photos of a concert just five minutes ago, and they was one really nice shot of kat in her white dress singing. You know, we take pride all the time in having helped Kat get where she is today, but imagine how her mom must feel, and how proud she must be. She was there every step of the way with her daughter, as was her dad, sister, etc. So when they see that photo above, imagine how proud and moved they must be. What I think would be nice for us to do would be to keep track of the best of the best media, and keep her family informed during the tour. I honestly feel like I am there in watching some of these videos and getting some of this media. Kat's family is not there to see the shows, but we can allow them to follow Kat like we do. Unfortunately, I don't have the available time to take charge of such a project. Perhaps though there'd be some people who believe it's important, and would like to spearhead it.

Kenneth, that is an excellent picture! I've been wanting to get some of the best videos and pictures to Kat's family for some time. I was thinking that we could compile all of the pictures and videos and make it into a movie on a DVD and send it to her family. It would be something they would cherish forever. And yes this does take a ton of work. And really, only one person could make the video. But everyone can send in pictures and videos. But, it is a ton of work for the one person. Let's see if we can make it work. Because it needs to be done!

i think that's a great idea. my only thing is, if we have a link of kat's speech on youtube, and it's been approved by us and cool for the family to watch without them having to dig around to find media and run into haters, then why wait on passing it along? we have the url now, we have her mom's email... should they have to wait that long (months)? what i am talking about is something that keeps them informed along the tour so they can follow it like we can. surely a comprehensive final project would fit in as well so they can always save the memories.

woah. omg i think that is one of the most best pictures of katharine i have ever seen! of course, all her pictures are beautiful because she is extremely photogenic. but just the lighting, and her soul really shines through in this picture. she looks like an angel! and that is such a brilliant idea! but it would take a lot of hard work for somebody to do it. but we have to find someone that would be able to do this-and of course have the time. it would be awsome. i would, but i have no idea how to do that stuff, haha. they really deserve to have something like that to cherish for the rest of their lives. they truely raised the most amazing daughter!!!... well i should say the most amazing daughterS- adriana too!

We could let them watch the tour as it goes like we are..and then compile the best of the pictures and performances and make a dvd out of it for them to keep. I don't have a dvd burner..I'm not great at the computer but if someone tells me to do this and that....I'll do it and help as much as I can. thanks weasie. I agree we should do both. The more volunteers the better. We'll definitely need one or two people to really do the work but we need people to support them and who will be proactive.

There is a Tour scrapbook going although I am not sure about its momentum. http://katharinefans.com/Forums/tabid/92/forumid/36/tpage/1/view/Topic/postid/37067/Default.aspx What I am aiming for is just delivering the family select media (photos & video) in a timely fashion as we become aware of it, and then absolutely we can put it together in one thing... perhaps include it as part of that scrapbook project?

I like this idea Ken, and I thought about emailing Peisha with the youtube vids and reviews of the first three concerts this last weekend. But I held off when I realized that Peisha still has that message up to not send her too many emails...and the idea that somebody in the family (or friends) were probably sending her some information. Actually, I'm thinking that Peisha may have been at the D.C. show anyway. Reports are that she was with Kat in NYC for the media stops--so she may have seen that first show...and hopefully with Dan along. After that, I'd say Peisha likely went home, but we don't know for sure. Nevertheless, having reviews, pics, etc., for her own use is something that's a must to have in the family. I've always been surprised to hear how some big-name celebs (and their families) don't usually have access to even family photos that end up in the public domain on the net. Sometimes it takes fans to give them old pictures they'd never acquired from concerts, or even publicity shots of different sorts. It shows that when you're a star, you don't have time for that type of thing. Ditto for family and friends who just don't think about it until years after the fact. Yes, I nominate the people above to assemble all the media content to send off to Peisha. I could do some, though don't have the time to assemble the whole thing. I say we should nominate maybe three or four people who can be the ambassadors who can assemble everything in parts. That way it can be sent in separate emails so it isn't overwhelming. Maybe Diane (Dremomma) can pass on certain things once she comes back from vacation... We'd better get on it, though, because the longer we wait...the more overwhelming it'll be.

Ok well we need someone to deliver the goods on a consistent basis. Is there anyone who can volunteer who Peisha who be able to identify if someone said their name -- ie Chad, or Laurie, or Danielle (on IDF). Someone who Peisha ALWAYS gets back to when they send emails? Then we can go forward. The rest of us will work with that person in identifying media to send to Peisha. Czar seems like a pro, and Czar can put together a compilation and/or work with McPhever in burning DVDs. We might want to think about making them available to all of us as well.

I agree with everyone that it's a great idea, Kenneth. Good way to weed out the footage that may be of lesser quality. Also, as you pointed out, it's a great way to "protect" the McPhees from stumbling upon some of the insulting garbage out there. The McPhees know it comes with the territory, but I think we all cringe at the thought of Peisha, family and friends seeing some of the things out there.

The "speech" of super high quality on youtube, the better quality Kellie Dedication, the picture I posted in the thread earlier and the picture of Chad and Kat (so kat can hang it over her bed) are the four media items that immediatley strike me as what should be included. Anyone else see anything that they think is worthy? Second of all, we have to keep track of what concerts everything is from. And, when Kat does a show in West Virginia for instance, and we get media from it, there should be a process set up so that pretty soon after we see it, it is identified, and sent to her mom. Cause her mom maybe wondering how the West Virginia show went, but a week after it's over, I don't think she's wondering "I wonder how the West Virginia show went?"

That's why i want someone who has something of a relationship with her mom -- so she can trust what's being sent, and also so it does not seem like someone is using the nature of this project -- continuous emails, to forge a relationship with her mom. Better someone she's already dealt with a lot. I don't want Peisha feeling wierded out or stalked, you know?
