I haven't known of this site til recently.  How does one find the must see video of the DC concert?  I love Kat and i saw the idols in Albany, NY and unfortunately Kat wasn't playing then.  I would love to see a video of her and I am a member of this site.

I haven't been on much lately but hearing these reviews of Kat's first night back and hearing you all talk about her with such passion again brings me to tears. She's back and it's like a rebirth for us all. *sigh Ahhh yes, McPheever lives.

I would have never known my own vulnerability until I became a Kat fan. It was something I never was able to do seriously as a teen-ager, being caught up in school all the time. I could not hold my own tears (of joy) though I tried to fight not to cry. I found myself slumped on a chair like a kid, sobbing and feeling happy for Katharine. It was an unbelievable emotion to go through what Kat had gone through before that night that only a Kat fan would know best and understand.

Yay, Mattsie!  Um, anyway.  This part of the post is what hit me.  Because there are times when I wonder why in the world I'm so infatuated with Katharine.  I mean it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to me.  I've never gone this crazy over somebody I don't know before.  I really shouldn't be so obsessed.  I know all of this and yet....there's nothing I can do about it.

She's just touched me in such a way that it is hard to describe.  I mean I know what initially got me was a combination of her singing and her looks but it gone so far beyond that now that...I just don't know.

The thing that really struck me was when I watched the "SOTR" on Friday night and the tears started to come down my face.  I was like, "Come on, this is insane.  Why are you crying?  You rarely cry over anything."  I don't know.  Just happened.

I was so happy to see her out there and to see the crowd give her so much love and to see her face and how overwhelmed she was...everything.  It just, it just made me cry (not like sob or anything, just uncontrollable tears running down my face).

Oh, the Black Horse performance.  Yeah, seeing the "good" video of that was great.  I didn't get to appreciate her little dance intro on the initial feed we got here on Friday night.  Whoever says the girl can't dance is insane.  She's the sexiest thing on the planet when she's doing those little moves she does.

Yeah, I think that all the time when I hear KT Tunstall's version on the radio.  I think, "Why couldn't this song be 40 years old where Katharine could get away with doing her own version for the masses?"

Oh well, I mean (and I know I'm biased) but...Katharine's version on Idol is better than the original.  Now, let the girl do the full version and record it?  Please.  I think we saw in the first time out live performing it in front of a crowd how perfect that song is for her.  And she didn't even do her best vocal performance on it.  After performing that thing for a few weeks she'll own it (just like she owns "SOTR").

I finally got to see the video without buffering interference. Kat's command of the stage always amazes me and she just gets better and better. She put quite a different spin on this version=great!! I agree with you how easily she can combine being adorable, passionate, sexy and elegant so easily in one song is unbelievable. Her strong charisma really can get a hold of you!!! Great video!!

Apparently Tunstall's version of BCHT really shot up the charts after Kat's perfs on AI5!!Just looked @ Kat's DC BHCT (maybe my 50th time,but now I no longer cry when I see it)Kat is just so mesmerizing here;her stunning look;her neat rendition and those stage moves!!No one else can command a stage and charm an audience with such charisma!What is really amazing is that,as of now,the youtube video of Kat's DC BHCT perf has been viewed a total of 13,897 times in a mere 4 days!!I'd bet this a record for youtube!!Kat is truly irresistable!!!!

Movie actors like Paul Newman, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, Lauren Bacall and Bette Davis make me want to live in the era they lived but I could have been just as inspired even now while I watch their work in films.

I'm just noticing while looking at my files that I don't have the SOTR from Richmond the next day which was equally momentous, does anyone have that? Preferably a download of the original file and not a rip of the streaming version?

Edit: I do have it - a 23MB version, probably the original.

There was one other very bad quality (though we were glad to get it at the time!) video from a distance, maybe it is that one? Anyway, I'll try and download too...maybe there is a good sound track!

edit: hmmmm - file refuses to go beyond 0% and then fails, idf is offline for maintenance - guess I'll try later.

The "originals" on the

DC BHACT was 19.3 MB (352X288) 709 kbps

SOTR Richmond 23.4 MB (352X288) 709 kbps

The YouTube rip for the VA SOTR was 11.8 MB and the 29MB one is a bad conversion of the Youtube one with the bitrate cracked up. I think you can still get them via MJ's blog video list if anyone wants them. Here is the link for the BHACHT if anyone wants it:

These files should be the same sizes and specs posted above. If they don't check out, then I'll reup the ones I have. SendSpace has been flakey lately so try and be patient.

So your best bet Phee is the 19.3 MB file that you have. Hands down the best I've seen of that performance.  The bigger file is not as good.

If you can't get them in a day then I can up both in a zip on Rapidshare or MegaUpload or something.

Yes, the GoogleGoo2 DC vid is farther away and not as good quality, but it offers a perspective not seen in the typical front-on angles.  I like it because it sort of shows the performers' view of the audience. That and you can stare at Kat's butt the whole time, I mean if you're so inclined.

Also it includes OTR, which I noticed isn't on katsconcerts. I don't have a closeup OTR in DC from krunkyou.  Was there a krunkyou/krunkgroovy OTR in DC? I couldn't find any on youtube or gofish under these names.  In fact, GoogleGoo2's OTR is the only one I have that has the entire song. Anyone else have a different one?

Phee, didn't you actually mean that you don't have BHACT in Richmond rather than OTR?  I don't have BHACT Richmond either.

McPheever63's 29mb BHACT DC is the same one I have. My records show McFreak converted it to wmv from something else (I don't know what he converted). It's only mono, whereas my FLV is stereo.  So if yours is stereo, even though it's smaller it might be better. 

For wmvs that aren't seekable, you can use asftools. "basic repair" I think.

I don't believe so, I think that there were space issues on the memory card because the shooter had other priorities. 

Namely  Elliot and Taylor, IIRC. 

So it was one Kat song per concert, and I am actually quite grateful for any because a lot of the "other" fans apparently  don't shoot Katharine at all. Or if they do, they don't admit it publicly.
