On October 23, 2007, Katharine McPhee sang the American national anthem during the opening of the 2007 California Governor and First Lady's Conference on Women, which was held at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center.

Many thanks go to Bigshady and differentlife at idolforums.com for capturing the video and audio respectively. For some reason, the audio portion of Katharine's singing was completely cut out for Bigshady, but differentlife was able to capture that missing audio. A friend was able to merge and synchronize both files and uploaded it to YouTube. We hope this makes your day.

That looks like a very good dub.  I asked you this over at Idolforums too,  but could you upload that source file (the finished dubbed file) to a file sharing service.  I would appreciate it.  If diff cannot get the left channel audio to work this may well be the gold standard.

Thanks so much for getting this for us! How did you do it? I mean was a camera person there, etc.? And, also, thanks because I got to press "pause" and see her shoes! That was extremely important you know! LOL!!

I'll have to ask my friend about that. I didn't actually upload it myself and I'm reluctant of going through a file sharing service. I'm just the messenger!

I really like kat's attitude on stage. She acknowledges anyone who's on stage with her. Likewise, when she was with cody and the orchestra.

Thanks Diff, Mark and Entrepreneur for getting this for us! I really appreciate it. I had seen it earlier on the streaming web cast, and I was hoping I'd get to see it again. I thought she sounded and looked amazing performing at this large, important event!
