On October 23, 2007, Katharine McPhee sang the American national anthem during the opening of the 2007 California Governor and First Lady's Conference on Women, which was held at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center. Many thanks go to Bigshady and differentlife at idolforums.com for capturing the video and audio respectively. For some reason, the audio portion of Katharine's singing was completely cut out for Bigshady, but differentlife was able to capture that missing audio. A friend was able to merge and synchronize both files and uploaded it to YouTube. We hope this makes your day.

Made from Shady's cap (nice!) and my audio (song portion). Downloadable for the junkies. I'm glad you brought the caps over here EP, and thank your friend too for the vid! My audio cap was from the California Channel streaming web vid. The stream was a lot better for me than the other site's. Sorry for the clipping but it was in the stream. The left channel was a mess and isn't worth salvaging. Huge dropouts, tons of fade ins and outs and warbling to boot. I hope that if they put up the archived version it'll be better and in stereo. I just meant in my previous post the source of the youtube video, which would have been better quality than the actual youtube video, I wasn't expecting necessarily a high definition cap.

I share that very same feeling, I mean WOW. Listen to those pipes, have you ever heard such a better rendition of the National Anthem? and I noticed she made it her own because she put her own unique spin on it. Beautiful and I think much better heard than her other National Anthem performance, plus the previous one didn't zoom on Kat's face. This time around, you get to see beauty and talent close up into 1 beautiful combination. Gorgeous girl and outstanding pipes!
Edit: So this was for the California Wildfires. I just heard about this today but I hear people were talking about it for 4 days, i don't know where I was, maybe I was still in heaven from the "Prayer" duet with Cody Karey. But it's wonderful for Kat to be apart of this conference to support the firefighters involved in the fires. Another token that shows what a great citizen and caring person Katharine McPhee really is, God bless her heart!

I'm sure you guys probably already have this, but I was watching the conference online today, and my program captured it, and I cut out Katharine's performance, just in case. I downloaded this file and checked the specs in the VLC player and it says stereo at 44.1 kHz and 128 kb/s. If this checks out it looks like a digital cap of the stream is up and it sounds pretty good too. You might be working on it already for all I know.
Edit: I just listened to the stream from the calchannel.com site and I hear very little left channel and it sounds awful.
