For some reason Tyra & Kat both sound like they've got cotton in their mouths in the link above. I just found one of almost the same snippet at AOL that sounds better

WOW!! just finished watching the Tyra Banks Show , and it was super!!This will definitely help create new Katharine fans. Tyra's target audience is women 25-40 and Tyra really promoted Katharine well.

umm yeah I taped it and it was about prostitutes or something... anyone else have this problem? I hope someone can cap it b/c I was REALLY looking forward to seeing this, with all the Kat withdrawls and everything!!!

That was so funny!! I can't believe Katharine even let her touch her boobs. lol. They are both too funny!! I have heard that rumor that Katharine was mentioning about people thinking her boobs are fake. I've heard that rumor, and I get annoyed whenever I hear it. Of course Katharine's boobs are real; I don't blame her for being irrated with that rumor. But it was a funny show. I enjoyed that interview a lot!! What I liked most was how at the end of the show Tyra was so persistent to tell people to go out there and buy her album!! Great promotion for her!!!

When this first surfaced I thought somebody had had a major braincramp to let something like this on the air, but after watching it, I have to admit, Tyra came off as funny, supportive, and totally Kat-friendly. She and Cindy Crawford have this whole shtick about "the thing," which is their code word for "the public persona that people see, which is not really me but which people identify with me," and it just seems like no matter what her management or her label or whoever try to push as "this is Katharine McPhee," sooner or later the real her just comes out. Don't talk about the dog and the boyfriend? Well, that may work for awhile, but not very long. So I guess the McSqueeze was just part of that. I dunno, it was still kinda weird, but it came off better than I thought it was going to. The whole moment looked spontaneous and "real." and they seemed to be having a great time together. I'd actually like to see her visit again. with or without love handles.

The only thing missing was a performance by Katharine. I don't watch Tyra Banks usually, but the entire idea is that it's "girl talk", so the boob thing was innocuous enough. Katharine actually raised the topic of people thinking they weren't real, soi it came off very innocently. She broke the "no boyfriend" rule and Kat said "he's gorgeous", a typical girl talk thing to say. I don't think I've ever heard her say that before. Yeah, Tyra loved her and was very supportive and insistent that everyone buy the album.

And some great new still photos of Kat that looked like they were taken that day (same outfit and one with Tyra gave it away).

Great candid interview. Kat is so endearing and just "herself." It seems that most people that she ends up interviewed by really like her and they are all in a position to 'pull strings' for her. That will of course help her in the long run. Her being so genuine is a breath of fresh air in the industry and will serve her well. She truly is the 'girl-next-door' in so many ways. Actually quite a cry from what is portrayed on the CD cover. As she says, that is her more playing a character. But people do correlate what they see on the cover to who they think she is. Its not like a movie or stage character, its a bit different. I think the real Katharine McPhee will help to sell a lot more CDs than the cover pic. So keep those appearances up Kat!!!

This was a great appearance for Katharine, clearly comfortable and in her element with the "girl talk" shtick of Tyra's show. She is clearly in touch with her "body issues" that are at the root of her eating disorder and I think the real Katharine, like some of her late Idol and post Idol interviews showed more here than it has in quite a while. Somebody really ought to break the news to her that the guys name is NATE HILLS, yes with an "S" because she calls him Nate Hill all the time.
