Eventually, I"ll get everything up. But by my count there are 3 different promo segments with Kat in them, plus the interview, plus 3-4 shots of fans that a few people might want (those who went to the studio). I'll separate out the interview and Kat shots and put those in a video.

With Betty and others coming up, I might not catch up with things until the weekend. I could definitely use the help of others to reupload to sites accessible by international fans (quicksharing).

Thanks! I was so mad because I ran out of tape on my VCR, so my VCR didn't tape her performance. It just taped her Interview and the few clips of her fans. I wish I could have gone.

Thanks, diff looks fantastic.

An observation: When I listen to this on my computer's surround speaker system Katharine seems to becoming from stage left rather then the center stage. All channels have sound coming out of them but it almost seems like the left and center ones are flip flopped....I know that you just copy the sound on them but still interesting.

Either way it is an awesome clip, thanks for all you work on these HD performance clips diff, these are the gold standard.

Does anyone know where there is video of the interview on Today??? I really want to see the interview

Thank you sooooo much, Diff! I apologize for being demanding yesterday. I had no idea the thing was so complex. I justed wanted to watch our girl, especially after everyone said it was better than the Leno performance. I'll try to be more patient in the future! I'll also be less cranky when I get DVR tomorrow and can at least watch these things. I don't NEED to download until I get the cd burner fixed! haha I'm just trying to watch.

 

Edit: Well worth the wait. Excellent quality!!!

My new cable box is giving me the same problems I had with the last one which is I can't fast forward or rewind, making capping anything a MAJOR PAIN.  I have to watch the entire show up to the Kat parts, and then if the cap doesn't work right the first time ie. no audio which has happened a couple times then, since I can't rewind, I have to start it all over again at regular speed and try again.  I'm still recording shows so I'm here to back you up if necessary.  Unfortunately I didn't know about ET tonight.  I have set re-occuring recordings of Extra and AH, but none of the other ones ie. ET, The Insider, and E News.  I can't tell you how frustrating it is not being able to FF or rewind.   I wonder if it has anything to do with hooking up the firewire to it.

Hey diff , I don't know if anyone else has been able to get this entire HD interview down from MEGA but I've made three attempts at getting it and it has stopped at exactly 75% complete every time. I'll try again tomorrow but you might want to check it out.

Here's what I notice for my 3416:

I FF/REW to the proper place.
I play the DVR recording, capping with CapDVHS
I stop CapDVHS
At that point, the DVR doesn't FF or REW properly
I hit Stop on the DVR
I then hit Play, which resumes where it left off
I can then FF and REW again

It sounds like something with the Firewire/CapDVHS might be an issue, but since I can resume where it left off, it isn't a big problem especially compared to what you're seeing.
Man, that sucks. You probably already disconnected Firewire and checked the FF/REW?

oh btw a couple of times when I plugged in the Firewire into my computer, it caused XP to reboot instantly. Just a heads up to always save everything before reconnecting Firewire cables.

I'm re-upping the performance now.  I had some problems downloading the interview portion so I don't have it to re-up at this time.  I'll put it up on quickshare tomorrow if no one gets to it before then.

Thanks Shady. But I and others are having problems with quicksharing. It takes the file, but then gives a link like this:

which of course is useless (notice the .html has no filename front part)

If you're going to try, I suggest a small test file. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If you find one that works, take note of the server part of the URL that is s1, s2, ... s25, or whatever. Let's say s5.quicksharing.com works for the test file. Then instead of typing www.quicksharing.com in your web browser, type s5.quicksharing.com to get to the upload page, then upload.

Yep, tried that.  I just tried rebooting the box again with the firewire intact and the FF/REW functions seem to be working, for now.  Rebooting the old box did not fix the problem, but hopefully it will continue working on this box should the need arise again.  Isn't it funny how everytime I complain to you that something isn't working it somehow fixes itself shortly thereafter?  With that in mind, my car stereo keeps cutting out when I play a CD.  Think it could be a short?

The upload got cutoff/disconected so I had to start over.  I think it may have happened when I was messing around with the firewire.  Who knows?  What about using sendspace?  I haven't noticed any problems there.
