I'm not sure if you can be too young to be an organ donor, I'm very sure you can not be too young to be an organ recipient, why not research it and let us know?

I saw this in Kat Chat earlier today briefly--but noticed it was moved and couldn't find it until now. This is incredible news...and all my best wishes go to Tay and her family! We'll be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during the recovery process...because what happens after is just as important as the waiting for the heart in the first place.

This shows that prayers really do get answered quickly--though we know Tay was apparently put on the fast track. It gives you hope that more organs are becoming available from people willing to donate. I second the thought Simon gave above about putting yourself down as a organ donor. I have to admit that I once had to think about it for a while. Sure, it's a deep philosophical subject for many--but when you die, you're not going to feel anything. If you have good internal organs that can help extend a life of a younger person, then it's worth being a part of the process. Besides, it's only your internal organs and not the outside parts of yourself--despite some people being marked down for that too.

And, yes--here in America, you can indicate you want to be a donor on your driver's license. They usually ask you when you first get a license as a teen--or during renewals. It's probably odd to get asked that by a DMV clerk, but that's how it works at least in Oregon.

I hope Tay will chime in here for updates when she's able to get back on a computer. It's apparent, too, that Kat and Peisha knew about this from the board.

Are there age limits for donors?
There are no age limitations on who can donate. The deciding factor on whether a person can donate is the person’s physical condition, not the person’s age. Newborns as well as senior citizens have been organ donors. Persons younger than 18 years of age must have a parent's or guardian's consent.

I will like  to donate my organs too. Right now the father of a very very close friend is needing a lung, if he dont founds one in 1 month or less he wont survive probably..

Hey Everyone. I just wanted to let you know I am okay. There were large amounts of rejection and after a whopping huge mess with the medicine, they finally got everything staigtened out. I came back to find that many people do not believe me on other boards, and that upset me greatly. Because I am not lieing. But whatever. That is the least of my worries right now. Have you had the transplant yet? If not, when? If so, great that you are OK. Don't worry about those people on the other boards, you are part of our family and this is where you belong. They really don't know what they are talking about, anyway. Some of them don't think that Katharine is even a good singer or that she is beautiful. Don't know what motivates them, but it doesn't seem that they recognize the truth. Please keep us posted on your condition. You are always in our prayers.

well zzyzx, glad you said "some" at the AI boards fit this category, because you really would have gotten a backlash on this comment. there's alot that most of us do know about Katharine and love about this talented human being.

Hey Tay!!!, is good to hear you're Ok ,  I was worried about you, but I knew that it would take time for you to recover and come here to post. I know that you're still recovering but it seems everything went fine. Just don't pay attention to the people who don't believe you on the other boards, because here we believe you, at least I do... as you said this is the least of your worries now.

Keep us updated in your progress...
