"Hi Everyone.. I am getting to go under anastesia within the next 30 mniutes here so I can not stay for long... I just wanted to thanks everyone and I got the SWEETEST voicemail message from Peisha... she is the NICEST person I have ever met. She is sending me lots of love from her and Katharine and I know you all are too. "
"My heart is coming from Kansas.. its on its way now!!!!!! It will arrive at 5... they need to open me up and get me "ready" by then.. so I am getting ready to go under anastesia very soon... Please pray for no rejection... "
I hope you all keep her in your thoughts right now. She's in mine.
It looks like all our support payed off a little.
Thank you all so much for taking the time out of your lives to help support our dear Taylor.
Go, Tay, go! You're so cute, posting that within an hour of going under anesthesia?! We are all rooting for you, Tay, and we can't wait to hear from you when you're back up and running
Thanks, Yuvie, for bringing the post here.
Yes ! Thanks God she found a heart..I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers
WOW! Double WOW! The best news possible. While not exactly routine, heart transplants have a very high success rate these days, Taylor's future just went to "unlimited possibilities", just like the rest of us.
A reminder to everyone - Perform a death defying feat: become an organ donor.
The process is different in different countries. In Canada you can do it over the internet. In a lot of countries you just have to sign something on the back of your driver's license. Donate everything, it isn't any use to you after you die but may just save/improve many many lives.
We will probably never know the story behind Taylor's finding a heart, but we know the result and it is probably due to someone taking the trouble to become an organ donor.
Let us take what we have learned from this whole wonderful experience with Taylor and use it to help our fellow human beings, it just may be the greatest thing we ever do.
Phee is an Organ Donor,
ARE YOU?????
Where is that "Uncle Sam Needs You" poster when you need it?
Anyhoo, here is a great link for organ donation in the USA, where most of Katharine's fans are located but it isn't hard to find wherever you live, just google "Organ Donor" plus your country:
http://www.organdonor.gov/signup1.html
"Each day, about 74 people receive organ transplants. However, 19 people die each day waiting for transplants that can’t take place because of the shortage of donated organs."
