I just wanted to reiterate how much I love and respect this site! Sometimes I take for granted how amazingly run this site is and how amazing the participants are! Everyone on here is gracious, kind, and so loving towards Katharine and her fans!

So, thanks Chad, for all that you do! Thanks moderators, for putting up with us "crazy kids"! Thanks members, for making this an amazing site! Thanks Katharine, for giving us a reason to have this site!

I share that reiteration, uwf.

The quality of the threads and discussions here are starting to more than exceed those I've seen on the 'AI' board--and that means a lot for a board. And then, of course, Chad having personal contact with Kat gives this site a legitimacy that no other can claim at the moment. We know there'll be an official site up in July, but Kat may not have as much involvement there as we think. This site may be a bit of an adjunct to that...without it being formally announced.  Besides, the record company will be the ones doing most of the work on the official board. This site is more fan-oriented and wouldn't have the corporate tag.

Having those questions for Kat she'll be answering next week (or we hope) really clinched this site for me being the best site for her on the net. The best part is that the word hasn't spread too far about her involvement here, which makes it a smaller community. But I still fear an onslaught once word-of-mouth gets around. We've already seen a near-server melt here a week ago from too many visitors.

Anyway, a good opportunity to shout out to Chad and everybody involved with making this place something unique. Once all the Kat Packers start posting here exclusively (Dremomma, et al.), we'll have something that probably won't be matched.

^^ that is definetly one of the great things greg! We are a large enough communtiy to have a succesful site, but small enough that we all kind of recognize each other! That's my favorite part of forums, knowing each other's posting habits and their opnions! YAY!

I haven't really checked out many other Kat sites, I've always felt comfortable with this one. It is very well run, and shows a lot af class for a classy lady such as Kat!

Thanks for starting this thread, by the way, Underwood. You are so wonderful!!

I always like to refer to k-fans as "the heart of the Katharine McPhee fan club." I flip around between different Kat fansites for sure, but this definitely feels like home.

Incidentally, there's a discussion going on in Idolforums right now re: how to strengthen Katharine's fan base. For starters, maybe:
A) all Kat fans calling themselves the same thing, as in Taylor fan's "Soul Patrol" and also Laurie's (I think it was) suggestion of "Kat Pack McPhans"; and
2) having one main fan meeting place. There's Laurie's great Kat Pack myspace site, and there's also, of course, katharinefans.com.

Wow - I feel like I kno all of you who posted comments on this thread; Laurie, Nancy, Greg, Kelly etc... It does feel like home... Funnily I have looked at the AI site cursory but have not felt the need to be a member; In fact I just realised that as soon as i joined the KMF site - that was all for me; not a member of anything else - Why is that?

Thanks, underwood fan, for starting this thread.  I agree... this is the best site out there.  We can't thank Chad and his band of merry moderators enough.

I was drawn to this site for many reasons, but one of the main things is the tone and standard set by Chad.  We all get silly and stupid just so we can have some fun.  But the respect shown to everyone, especially Katharine, is what makes this place special to me. 

Everyone here feels like Kat is family in a weird way, and we want to protect her and support her in everything.  That common goal makes us all family to each other as well. 

I don't want to, but if I HAVE to be the weird uncle, I will be

I agree. This is the site for real Kat lovers. Good conversation, intresting people, pics and videos. As an european fan I do not need any other "fan"-site. Iv been there but too much shit talking and bashing. Good growd and overall job here. Thanks!
