...And coming to another board where I may be as conservative as I was at the 'AI' board.

Most of you probably know who I am. You know, that Greg guy who's written enough posts on the 'AI' board to outdo the syntax of Tolstoy. Well, it was all because writing is second nature for me...and because Katharine is a major inspiration in making you want to dig deep into your heart to write something meaningful. While some of those posts are probably long gone thanks to trolls making some threads disappear, there's still a good 1,200 posts I've done there since April 6 that apparently are archived until January.

Well, people have been PM'ing me over there and telling me to register here. And I thought this Memorial Day weekend would be a good time to pop in and introduce (or re-introduce) myself. I can see a lot more people I recognize are coming here, so I hope this can end up being a good second source to come and discuss Kat news on occasion. I suppose there's even more people here I know than I think--but just don't know who they are under a different SN. Please let me know who you are so this doesn't become a masquerade party.

For those who don't know, I basically grew up in the same way Kat did (around older types of music and musicians/music teachers) and was floored when I saw someone like Katharine make it to the top on 'American Idol.' Her effortless ability to make the art of song go to new highs is only part of the wide picture of respect and admiration I have for her. She really is a rare person taking the arts and humanities to places not many celebrities take it lately.

Thoughts on this board: I can already tell that some Kat news stories will be safer here. A couple were deleted tonight on the 'AI' boards due to the sources being 'dubious'--when we who are smarter know it's probably from the family. Odd how CNN and Fox News are considered more 'reliable' sources.

Anyway, at last we can talk about the 'AI' mods here and safely call some of them ass....no I promise not to take it that far even here.

Glad to be here--and looking forward to posting once in a while. And I do solemly swear that this post will be the only one with a high word count on this board. I don't want to make this site run slow with too many long posts.
