so I went to this camp CAI, Creative Artists Institute. It's a musical theatre intensive and it was beyond amazing!!! We got to work with :

Weslie Woodley (Artistic Director) is an actor, singer, director, and educator. As an actor, she has appeared on film and television (Thank You for Smoking, Young and the Restless, Meet the Fockers, Days of Our Lives, RENT (Movie), Deadwood (HBO), Monk, Medium, Elizabethtown, Crazy and Red Eye. She has worked along with film directors such as Wes Craven, Cameron Crowe and Jay Roach. Most recently Weslie was seen in Into the Woods at the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera. Favorite theater roles include: Julie (Carousel), Marian, (The Music Man), Anita (West Side Story), Cinderella (Into the Woods), and Amalia (She Loves Me). Last November, Weslie shared the stage (and red carpet) with Tisha Campbell-Martin, Deborah Gibson, Neil Patrick Harris, Michael Chiklis, Jill Hennessy, Robert Gant, Joanna Peciti, and Sam Harris in InConcert directed by Ron Abel and Howard Fine at the Hollywood Playhouse to benefit charity Project Angel Food. Ms. Woodley fufilled a life-long dream and worked along with Emmy award-winning composer/producer Joel McNeely and contributed her voice to Disney’s upcoming feature film Tinkerbell. She studied vocal music at Wheaton Conservatory of Music with soprano Caroline Hart. For acting, she studied with Howard Fine, one of the most sought-after acting coaches in the entertainment industry, at the Howard Fine Acting Studio in Hollywood, California. It was there, she had the amazing oportunity to assist Mr. Fine in his Comprehensive Technique course. She continues to study voice with the remarkable Seth Riggs, creater of Speech Level Singing (SLS).

Sherlee Huang (Musical Director) has been teaching in Fairfax County for nine years. Her groups have performed at many invitational performances including the White House, Lee-Fendall House in Old Town Alexandria and Channel 9 news singing for the “Freedom Forum” at the Newseum in Arlington, Virginia. In addition, Ms. Huang’s ensembles have been invited to perform at the prestigious Virginia Music Educators Association conference in Norfolk, Virginia.
The December 2003 MENC magazine published her article, “Leading By Example”, describing mentoring as a viable learning technique for both students and teachers. Ms. Huang is an active member of local and national music education and performance organizations. She has held District XI Chairperson for Choral Directors in the Fairfax County Public Schools and has been recognized as a “Future Leader” of the Virginia Choral Directors Association. Ms. Huang is also an active adjudicator, clinician and guest speaker in the Virginia/DC area.
In addition to Ms. Huang’s choral conducting, she is also an accomplished pianist, voice coach, arranger, choreographer, and musical theatre director. Her music directing and choreography credits include Grease, Carousel, Bye, Bye, Birdie, Once Upon A Mattress, Pippin, My Fair Lady, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Fame. Ms. Huang has also had extensive dance training in ballet, jazz, street jazz, gymnastics, cheer and hip-hop. Ms. Huang has performed professionally at numerous venues including James Madison Univerisity, Spirit Cruise of Washington, Jack Guidone Theater and Mainstage Masterpiece Theatre. She has studied and continues to study at Joy of Motion in Washington, D.C., Broadway Dance Center in New York and with Stephanie Jojokian, choreographer for the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders.
Ms. Huang graduated with a BM from James Madison University and a MME from Florida State University. She is a member of MENC, VMEA, ACDA, FCCDA and SAI.
Adam Pelty, since childhood, has been a professional in the performing arts. His early experience encompassed everything from jingles fornational television and radio commercials to work in feature films to leading roles in musicals. The son of Chicago celebrity Lee Pelty, Adam appeared in his fathers night club act, while studying and workingas a featured soloist with Ruth Page's Chicago Ballet. He was formally trained at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan and United States International University in San Diego and London, and also attended Purdue University, touring internationally as a soloist with the Purdue Glee Club. Adam's adult professional acting career hasgarnered him over fifty regional credits and has taken him on national and European tours as well as to Broadway, where he has appeared in Cyrano - The Musical, Steel Pier, A Christmas Carol, Joseph..., The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Titanic. He has worked with such greats as Susan Stroman, Frank Galati, Ann Reinking, Terrence McNally, Chita Rivera, Kander and Ebb, Frank Wildhorn, and Mike Ockrent, to name a few. As a choreographer, Adam has staged dances for film, television specials, and commercials. He created the choreography for theoriginal Broadway production of The Scarlet Pimpernel as well as for Kenny Rogers in Christmas from the Heart at the Beacon Theatre. Adamis certified in fencing and stage combat by the British Society ofFight Directors, and teaches master classes in theatre art throughout the United States. From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Pelty served as Director of High School Musical Theatre at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan, where he continues to serve as consultant and adjunct faculty. Recently he worked on Frank Wildhorn's new musical WAITING FOR THE MOON and choreographed and played Henry in Allan Knee's play SYNCOPATION for Capital Rep in Albany, NY as well as Merrimack Rep outside of Boston, MA. Adam lives in New York City with his ten-year-old son, Noah.
Michelle Kittrell can currently be seen in the new Broadway musical, Legally Blonde, where in addition to playing many roles she is also the dance captain. She also has appeared in the Broadway hit, Hairspray, as the dance captain as well as playing the role of PennyPingleton. Additional Broadway credits include: All Shook Up, Bebe "Bubbles" Baker in Urban Cowboy, the Senator's Girlfriend in Sweet Smell of Success starring John Lithgow, Seussical starring Rosie O'Donnell, Footloose, Wonderful Town (Encores) and Grease! Michellehas toured the U.S. with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,Grease!, Footloose as well as Europe playing the role of Lorraine in 42nd Street. She has performed regionally as Velma Kelly in Chicago, Evelyn Nesbit in Ragtime, Graziella in West Side Story, Millie in Good News! in addition to working with Tommy Tune in the workshop of Easter Parade. On television she has appeared on "Law & Order", " Live with Regis and Kelly", "Broadway: An American Musical", "Miss America Pageant" with Tony Danza, "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade", "The View, "This is the Moment" with Donny Osmond as well as numerousappearances on the "Today Show" and "Good Morning America." In addition to her performing, Michelle teaches musical theatre and audition workshops as well as tap, jazz, and lyrical master classes in NYC and across the country. Michelle was also named one of the "top 10 tap dancers in the US and Canada" in the Gregory Hines National Tap Challenge.

Justin Greer is an opera singer by training, a Broadway dancer and actor by trade, and an arts educator whenever he has the time. He is currently part of the Broadway company of THE PRODUCERS, standing by for Leo Bloom and Carmen Ghia. He made his Broadway debut in the Tony award winning revival of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN starring Bernadette Peters, and originated the Broadway companies of URBAN COWBOY, playing JD Letterlaw, and SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL. Other NYC credits include BABES IN ARMS with City Center Encores!, the off-Broadway play JUSTUS BOYS, and the HERCULES SUMMER SPECTACULAR at the New Amsterdam Theatre, where he played Aladdin. He has toured the country as Gideonin SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS, worked with the Radio City Rockettes, and has performed in numerous regional and stockproductions. Some of his favorite roles include the title role in BATBOY (BATCC Best leading actor nomination), Matt in THE FANTASTICKS, Will Parker in OKLAHOMA, and Jinx in FOREVER PLAID. He has been aguest artist and teacher for Camp Broadway, Broadway Classroom, City Center, the BRAVO television network, and in the NYC public schools. Mr. Greer has also created various arts education outreach programs in conjunction with productions in which he has performed. He lectures extensively and has held master classes in audition techniques, dance, acting, music and performance. He holds a BFA in Vocal Performance and Theatre from Carnegie Mellon University, and is currently pursuing his master's degree in early childhood education from Hunter College.

Diego Prieto was born and raised in the Washington DC area. He attended South Lakes High School and Virginia Tech and has been performing throughout the area for the last 18 years. He helped start a local Community Theatre organization called Kensington Arts Theatre in Kensington, MD where he has been in 8 productions, including COMPANY, ASSASSINS, INTO THE WOODS, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, CABERET and KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN. He had garnered five Washington Area Theatre Community Honors (WATCH) nominations and has won two, one for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Riff Raffin THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW and one for Outstanding Choreography for the same show. His other nominations were for Lead Actor in KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN (Molina) and EVITA (Che) and for Featured Actor in ASSASSINS (Booth). Diego became an active member of Actor's Equity in 2003 when he was cast in SENOR DISCRETION, HIMSELF, the world premiere musical by the legendary Frank Leosser, at Arena Stage. He went on to perform with the companies of DAMN YANKEES and CABERET, both with Broadway star Brad Oscar - again at Arena Stage. He has also performedat Signature Theatre in ASSASSINS, SAVING AIMEE (Kathy Lee Gifford's world premiere musical with Carolee Camello) and is currently in THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK with the star studded cast of Marc Kudisch, Emily Skinner and Christiane Noll. Diego has also performed across the county in two national children's tours and in Regional Theaters from Indianato Portland, Oregon. Diego is thrilled to be able to work with Weslie again and to work with Creative Artists Institute.
Stanley Noel Dunn comes to Creative Artists Institute via an extensive career in opera and musical theater having sung with Placido Domingo in Menotti’s world premier of Goya filmed for Great Performances. Mr. Dunn’s debut with the Washington Opera was in The Merry Widow as Kromoff with D’Oyly Carte Opera stars John Reed and Donald Adams, the Street Singer in Three Penny Opera at Wolftra, the solo quartet in The Cocoanuts at Arena Stage with Baayork Lee, choreographer of A Chorus Line, and Sweeny Todd at Paper Mill Playhouse with George Hearn and Judy Kaye. He studied vocal music education with Leon Flemming at Maryland University and post-graduate voice with Metropolitan Opera sopranos Marilyn Cotlow and Rosemary Dyer, and the amazing Buffo-bass Francois Loup from The Paris Opera. His vocal coach was the late-great William Huckaby from AIMS, Graz, Austria and David Jones @ voiceteacher.com (check out this informative web site). Stan spent all his years in Washington as a tenor soloist in many of the areas biggest churches and playing and conducting handbell choirs. With the Capital Chamber Ensemble and orchestra he sang at the White House for Nixon, Carter and Bush, Sr., administrations. Stan met his best friend and wife, soprano Nancy Puckett-Dunn at The Kennedy Center. Together they have produced concerts at the French and British Embassies, and many “Amahls” raising funds for Teddy Bears and blankets for homeless children. Stan trained at The Somerset Massage Therapy School for neuromuscular techniques. He also received additional training in cranio-sacral and Reiki healing techniques, using his voice and therapy harps to explore the healing nature of sound.
Bethany Jenkins received most of her training in San Diego where she was born and raised. Dancing and performing since the age of three, she is trained in many styles of dance (Jazz, Tap, Broadway, Ballet, Modern, Hip-Hop etc.). In high school she choreographed many shows for high schools and elementary schools in the San Diego area. She danced with Stage Seven Dance Company, All That Jazz Dance Studio, Sue Hamilton Dance Company, P. Michael Bonds, Chula Vista High School for The Creative and Performing Arts, and San Diego Junior Theatre. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia. While in school she choreographed shows at a local middle school. She has performed in many shows for professional theatres such as Starlight Musical Theatre, Star And Tortoise Productions, and The San Diego Rep. Her passion for teaching dance has brought her to Washington D.C. where she founded the dance program at Capital City Public Charter School. Working for the outreach program at Dance Place, Bethany taught dance classes and choreograohed five pieces for the dance company Flava at Wilson Senior High School. She currently teaches jazz and hip-hop at Joy Of Motion Dance Center in Bethesa.
Maurice Johnson comes to Creative Artists Institute from Joy of Motion Dance Center. Mr. Johnson has studied and performed with a variety of dance institutions such as: The Lexington Ballet, Alvin Ailey Dance Repertoire, Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago and North Atlanta Academy School. He can be seen in the 1997 HBO movie Miss Ever's Boys and the 1996 U.S. Olympic Ceremonies. His choreography skills have allowed him to work with the production teams of Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Madonna and Paula Abdul, to name a few. Whether he’s seen on stage, film or in class, Mr. Johnson displays his cutting edge (yet challenging style of jazz) that leaves students coming back for more!
