Dear Katharine McPhee:

Hey, Kat! My sincerest congratulations on yet another spectacular, grand slam Tuesday night episode of American Idol. I sincerely loved your engaging performance of the classy standard "Someone To Watch Over Me." In my humble opinion: The American Idol producers saved the best contestant for last! Your ravishing rendition equally ranks up there with the timeless version by legendary singer Linda Ronstadt and The Nelson Riddle Orchestra. As a matter of fact, you looked absolutely LUMINOUS with a capital L! I bet supermodel Cindy Crawford is staring over her shoulder! Just joking! The A.I. cameras welcome your direct eye contact and lovely facial expressions, Kat! I know I sure do. Not to mention, millions of loyal American voters across the nation! I think it's great that you fancy children (such as Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster's baby son). That's an attractive quality in the next American Idol winner! On a personal note, I'm usually cautious about women who don't care about children or animals. Luckily, you passed the test with flying colors!

On last Wednesday's A.I. results show, I enjoyed how the show's producers allowed the TV audience to watch an intimate videotaped interview with your proud parents, Peisha and Dan McPhee. It was quite moving to see your father, Dan, shed tears of joy over your on-stage moments (including the sentimental childhood snapshots). Most website fans agree. Furthermore, I'm happy to learn that you have a friendly family dog named Lily.

By the way, I read in People Magazine that you attended high school with O.C. actress Rachel Bilson and incidentally starred opposite each other in the musical Once Upon a Mattress. Coincidentally, I also appeared in a high school production of Once Upon a Mattress. I portrayed the wacky Wizard. Even though, my favorite theatrical role was playing Motel the Tailor in Fiddler on the Roof. Okey-doke! Enough nostalgic flashbacks! I can hear the violins playing in both ears. Just kidding!

In closing: Thank you (once again) for showing American viewers why you're hungry and ready to be American Idol 2006, Katharine Hope McPhee! Until next week! Be good, Miss McPhee! Peace.

Cordially,

Clint C.

P.S. For the record: I obviously remembered to vote for YOU!
