I had never followed American Idol closely until this year, but “The Voice Within” was telling me I should start. And I’m glad I listened. “Since I Fell For You”I have been absolutely thrilled by your multi-faceted talent and beauty in sight and sound. I guess it was “My Destiny” to find you.
There are times when “I Ain’t Got Nothin’ but the Blues,” but watching and hearing you over the past few months always broke apart the clouds and sent me “Over the Rainbow,” way up high, so much so that at times “I Believe I Can Fly.” Your takes on the classics, which I also love, made me feel as though I had “Someone to Watch Over Me.”
Even when things got rough and Elvis week left you “All Shook Up,” I was still pulling for you. All that grief you got was like nothing but a “Hound Dog,” crying all the time. Because even when you don’t have the greatest of nights, “I Can’t Help Falling in Love” with your voice. You were “Bringing out the Elvis in me,” that’s for sure, and “Against All Odds” you prevailed.
So thank you Kat, for bringing us the gift of your voice this year. “I Have Nothing” but the greatest of admiration for it. I will follow your career “Come Rain or Come Shine.” I eagerly await all your projects “Until You Come Back to Me” via music, movies, TV or the stage. Doesn’t really matter how. “All in Love is Fair.”

PS Man, do you know how HARD it is to work the phrase “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” into a letter and make it sound natural? I’m not sure it can be done! That brought me to MY knees! You better “Think” about what you’re tryin’ to do to me! Oh well. “Who Wants to Live Forever,” ya know? ;)
