Dearest Katharine- I came across this quote from my meditation teacher recently and wanted to share it with you, somehow I thought of you when I read it: "When you decide once and for all that you will not allow adversities to overwhelm you or dictate your opinion of yourself and the rest of the world, you will feel lighter.You will feel glorious. The joy of fearlessness is a great reminder of the splendor of God and the blessings that abound in your life. Truly when you are fearless, you can hear celestial music ringing in every cell of your body. Your body becomes an exquisite musical instrument through which God breathes and plays and dances! Then, wherever you go, you bring a ray of hope. Those in the grip of sorrow brighten up. Your presence actually becomes the splendor of God. Everything you do creates an atmosphere of well-being on this planet, both within and without. " Hope you enjoy this and I pray that somehow you or one of your family members will see this post and forward it to you. I wish you the very best on Tuesday night in the finals. You have an exquisite voice and a very sweet and loving personality. Dear Katharine-Just wanted to extend to you my continued support and blessings for your upcoming concerts with Andrea Bocelli and the summer AI tour.Can hardly wait to see you in Rochester,NY. Am so looking forward to seeing you and hearing your wonderful voice in person.I so much enjoyed your recent appearances on Today and Early shows also. You sounded magnificent as always. And it was also wonderful to see your Mom cheering you on sweetly in the "wings". I can tell she has been an incredible influence on you and a wonderful role model. I loved what you said about her saying that it's all about "giving back". Just one of the many reasons why I admire, appreciate and love the McPhees so much! Dear Katharine, I just returned from the International Jazz/blues Fest here in Rochester and I thought-wow wouldn't it be awesome if somehow you and your Mom could be here next year to perform at this festival. I would be so ecstatic if that ever happened. Also am writing to let you know how much I have enjoyed all your recent appearances on TV and the few clips I saw of your concerts with Andrea Bocelli. Would have loved to have been there in person! Can't wait to see the JCPenny special in August. I also love what I've heard so far of the cd coming out on 6/27-it sounds absolutely awesome. Can hardly wait until it arrives. I also wanted to share with you a few more quotes that I thought you might enjoy. They reminded me of you and all your McPhans. Dearest Katharine, I wanted to let you know what an amazing and courageous young woman you are. My heart is aching for you right now but at the same time I am so very proud of you for having the humility and great courage to reveal your struggles to the "world" and all your fans.It can't help but be a source of great inspiration for all the people out there (especially young women) who may be suffering from this same illness. I am so proud of you Katharine and am sending you lots of hugs through the "cyberspace"!
