I think it was more like 9:15-9:30.
That's so sad for Kat cause she seemed so excited about it. And it's sad for the fans that were expecting her to be there. I guess there's nothing you can do about it. :-( |

Hey for all the negative speculation out there already, I NEVER said her management company scheduled her flight at 5:40pm EST. That is just when she sent the email. I don't know when her flight was suppose to leave. As Bill said, the weather in NYC is horrible right now. It isn't the weather in Pittsburgh. She couldn't have driven, it is 6-7 hours or more.
This really isn't for this board but for the people on other boards that love to think of things to make Kat and her team look bad. Hey guys, get a life! |

tonight. What time was her flight and what time was it
delayed? Maybe she still has some time to get to the concert even

explain that her plane was delayed. After all it's not her fault.

Likely timeline is that she was scheduled out around 3 which would have left TONS of time for everything but ended up sitting on the ground. The airlines always jerk you around on the actual depart time once you are in a weather situation.
She was probably sitting on the plane with little McFumes coming out her ears. |

AWWw I feel sooo bad for Kat. She was sooo thrilled on the VIew this morning about performing tonight, and for all her fans that will be there, I feel bad for them.
I'm in NY and we just had a special weather report that broke into the tv show, about bad rain storms and thunderstoms in the area.

Well, any further speculation right now is worthless. Kat may or may not have made it to Pittsburgh on time, and we'll find out which in a few hours when fans get home from the show.

That's gotta be hard PR-wise for her, even if it is for another legitimate reason, this could just eb used against her, which it doesn't ened to be, nor should be.

It would have been far more dangerous to go speeding in the bad weather at rush hour to get to a show. The speculations of the "other board" is frustrating to say the least, anger inducing at best.  The incinuations are the most exasperating things to have to read. The American Idols that do these guest spots aren't doing the scheduling, planning the flights, hotels, etc. And NO ONE controls the weather. It's frustrating for Katharine, it's frustrating for the fans, but I'd far rather Kat miss a show than take a chance on speeding on the highways to get there. Kat's fans will survive this. We're THRILLED that she got on The View and gave so many of us the chance to see her that missed her along the way. Keep your chin up Kat Fans. Keep your chin up KAT!  We'll see you when the timing is right for ALL of us! |

No one in their right mind wants anyone flying in bad weather....it is not bad luck...it is just simply bad weather nothing anyone can control. She missed the concert I went to but anyone who likes her, her music will still like her. I haven't changed how I feel about her! And the other board.......who cares about them. |

I don't know if she has a Sidekick or brought a laptop or if she possibly went ahead to one of the airport internet cafes just to give us an update about her flight.. but seriously.. that's just really, really sweet and thoughtful of her.  I just hope that the weather will be more than okay when she finally flies to the Idol tour, whichever city it may be. I know that some fans will be disappointed, but right now, I really only care about her safety. |

It was great that she was so thoughtful to pass the word on about her delay. It certainly wasn't anything that could be helped, and no-one is more frustated than Kat is! Yes, I agree Bella, it's time for another big hug for Kat. |

While it must be frustrating to get our flight delayed, it is better to be safe than sorry ... Once I was in a plane that was caught in a thunderstorm ... believe me .. IT'S SO SCARY! The turbulance, the sound of thunder ... man ... all of us were praying hard up there... That was the one and only time I got scared to be inside an airplane ... Once we landed safely, a passanger called her husband and cried.. she said,"We almost died up there ..." ... I don't blame her ... I think all of us got scared ... I hope that Kat has something to do while waiting for her flight. Tomorrow, she's gonna rock the house!  |
