The concert on the 7/6 in Manchester, NH wasn't the same without you!! I was sad that you weren't there. It's okay cause I just want you to get better!

Kat, Thank you so much for taking the time to answer these questions for us! Most "celebrities" probably won't even do what you do when it comes to your fans and it's greatly appreciated...it maked us love you even more and makes us realize just how special you are!!  what's so funny i feel like your actually talking to us and i love how you make typos just like the rest of us, it makes you seem like one of us...and well i know your one of us and all...but in some ways your not...well anyways i'm starting to confuse myself! haha  Oh and to answer your question "don't you get sick of me?"...well let me think...no i'm kiddin' We could never get sick of you...i'll be a McPhan for the rest of my life...till i'm old and gray...and let me tell you right now i'm only a teenager in high school Us McPhan are there until the end and with you every step of the way!! Now, i'm crossing my fingers that you will be at the Richmond, VA tour stop later this month (July 29th to be exact)...and i know that you know it's Elliott's hometown and all...but i'll be there cheering you on as well as many other McPhans! Now if you see a girl, with long brown hair, wearing an orange shirt, shoes,...and toe nail polish ( ) screaming her butt off in the floor section 14 rows from the stage with a katharinefans.com glow stick in hand, don't be alarmed it's just me!! I hope in the future i'll get to meet you and see you face to face, gosh that would be my dream! Now i don't know if you know this, but last year some of the idols would come out by the buses (where many fans stay inorder to just see a glimpse od their idol and maybe even talk to them) after the concert! Now don't think that since it's Elliott's hometown stop that there aren't McPhans there for you...i'll tell you now that i will be one of those McPhan's waiting by the buses in order to do just that! I hope you feel 100% better really soon, so you'll be able to bless these early concert goers with your amazing voice, personality, looks, and charm! I know that's it's hard to not talk at all, if i had to do that...gosh i don't know if i could, your a very strong individual!! I Love you so much and I'm keeping you in my prayers! hey this is my first time ever posting on these boards so i guess i'm new here! lol there seem to be a pretty good number of people here, definately not as much as i've seen on a few other boards.. there are like hundreds and hundreds of mcphans and these are only the ones who've actually found the boards! i wish we knew the real number of fans, it would be outrageous! anyway, about the post.. i think it's AWESOME that kat actually reads the boards on occasion and really does care about her fans. i really liked reading her answers to all the questions.. she is really a wonderful, down-to-earth person. i would never EVER get tired of katharine! lol
P.S Thanks Chad for posting this and I think I'm gonna stop by these boards a little more often
i think this is probably the first time i've ever came into any kind of contact with her so i think i'm gonna write something just for her- katharine you were my favorite on american idol from beginning to end and i never once looked away! i power-voted for you every week and still think you deserved to win. but i know you will still do GREAT being runner-up, and could probably even be better off that way! i hope you are feeling better soon and can get back to the tour. unfortunately i won't be able to come.. but i hope i can go to your debut cd tour! i can't wait for that, i know it's gonna be freakin awesome! keep up the great work with your singing and i hope that whatever you do in life is successful and you have fun and know that every one of your mcphans will be behind you 100%! thanks kat!

I think it is so awesome that you took the time to answer these questions! Especially since you aren't able to be at the first few concert dates
There are alot of rumours floating around the internet, and sometimes because of the volume, no matter how dedicated a fan, sometimes it becomes difficult not to believe some of them. However, the simple, thoughtful gestures you show us, your fans, show us who you truly are inside. And you seem like a lovely person.
I really wish the best for you and I will pray for your health to return so you can continue on your path to stardom!

wow! yay! That's so exciting! I loved reading all the answers! Kat is so sweet! I just love her! I really liked her answer to Jake's question b/c it was just sorta inspiring b/c I mean everyone has insecurities and I have a lot. and she sorta just told ya to be yourself and who cares what everyone else thinks. It doesn't matter what they think, all that matters is that your happy.
I just love Kat even more now! She is so sweet and nice to take the time to answer these questions for us and give us long answers too!

I guess the question and answer to that would be something along the lines of what kind of things in life are really important to you? So often through these press junkets we get asked very superficial questions. Not always but a lot of times. And I think you Steve, get the sense the questions in the end aren't really getting to who I am. That's why I have so appreciated these questions my fans have asked me. You guys are REAL reporters in my opinion. You have better questions then the paid professionals!! haha. But the answer would be things like good health in my family, having good friends around me, and being able to express myself creatively as a performer. I think for me it's important to find something that you love to do. If I couldn't do what I was doing now I can think of a few other things that would make me happy and I would try to pursue that as much as possible. 1. Your words and appearances are like food to us. If we didn't hear from you for a week, it literally feels like we didn't eat for a week. This is no exaggeration.

That is so wonderful. I love her even more than before after reading her answers. She could have easily just replied with short answers, but it seems like she really took time to respond. That means a lot, not just to those whose questions she answered, but to me as well. It shows that she is a genuine, caring person.
I love this quote of hers: To me the gift of this all is in the giving.
And that she wants to give back, not just in performing but with a humanitarian foundation or something (what about an eating disorder clinic or education center?) shows the type of person she really is.
While she was my of my favorites from the start, I didn't truly get on the McBandwagon till it was too late to get tickets to the Idol tour. I can't wait till she tours on her own. I will definitely be getting tickets to that.
Kat, thank you again for all the love you show your fans. Know that it is returned tenfold.

I am totally blown away with Kat's intelligent answers. I've DVR'd showbiz talks/shows looking for kat interview, read showbiz mags but I never got what i wanted to hear and know. These 12 answered questions were so meaty in substance. I am so impressed. Thank you Chad for this. And thank you Kat for taking time to answer.
