Ok so this night was the BEST night of my life.  The show was great. I remember when, Kat was singing someone said something and she said "Hi!"! I also remember me yelling when she was singing. I was too shy to say "I love you, Katharine!" But I did scream " Katharine"!
These teenage girls behind me said something about me screaming, but I don't know what. I kept yelling, though! When she was done before she left she said " I hope you guys enjoy the rest of the show!" Then said "Bye"! Then when Taylor was done, they all came out to sing "Living in America", which was great! Taylor and Kat sang something together, also. While Kat was done singing " Black Horse and A Cherry Tree" she said she had missed 3 weeks of the tour because of her being sick. She also said that she had a clumsy moment and then lifted her dress to show her cast on her leg. Then said something and said " I would have voted for him myself, ( laughs)! Then when it was over we stayed and waited for people to leave, then we saw some people waiting by the stage. So while we were sitting one guy said we need you to leave the room please.
So we left, then we wanted to see if we could see what the people were waiting for, so my step-brother went down there again and noone saw him. So we went too, we were waiting with the people. They were handing out pop-tarts while we were waiting. It was the new kind Mint Chocolate. It was ok. Then a person came out and opened the door to backstage and the guy said " Ok, get your pass out!". So then I told my mom that we had to have a pass and she said " Wait, let me see if we can sneak in." So she came back and said "We have to have a pass!"
So went outside looking of the tour buses, and while we were looking we saw limos and then my step-dad asked the driver if this was for the idols and he said "No!". So we kept walking then we came up to a window and we saw Taylor signing autographs,taking pics, talking,etc.! When someone came out some people were yelling "Taylor"! Everyone was dying to meet him!!! We were waiting there about 20 minutes, them my mom said 'Let's go by the buses"! So we walked to the front where we saw lots of people waiting. I said "They might be here", so we waited with the people outside then we saw Paris come out then she came by us and she signed our book for us. Next, we saw Mandisa, she came by us and also signed our book. I saw Lisa up close, but did not get her autograph.
Anyway, I was still waiting for Kat, then my step-brother came running and said "Come give me your posters, book, picutes. Katharine is on the other side. Come on" So me, my sister, and him ran as fast as we could and so we came on the other side and saw Kat signing away. We were waiting for her out of breath. She finally came to us and when she did my sister gave her her picture to sing and then she asked Katharine "Can you sign my shirt?" and she said Oh, Sure!". Then when she was on her shirt I hit her so she can tell her I talked to her mom and so my sister said " She talks to your mom (pointing to me). Kat looks up looks at my sister then looks at me and she says "Oh, really? That's Cool"!
Then we said "Yeah"! Then next she came by me, she was right in front of me. I held my shirt up for her to sign and so while she was signing I asked "Can you write it out to Demi?" and she said "Oh, Uh, yeah!" So while she was writing I felt her fingers moving on my hand. Then she and this bodyguard was talking while she was signing and so when they were done she said " To: D-m-i." so my sister, brother, and me said "D-e-m-i. Then So she give it to me when she was done and i said "Thanks". And she said "Your very welcome". Then she went on to my step-brother, she signed his shirt, but did not say anything while doing it. When she was done with his he said "Thank you" and she said nothing. Well, that's about it. Hope you enjoyed reading.Demi |

I must say..I loved Kat more after I met her. I have always been a fan, but not a HUGE one. She is amazing and more gorgeous in person. She was soo nice to me too. She even asked me if she spelled my name right. I told her I thought she was pretty and my mom even said to her "Kat, you are amazing and such a pretty girl." She was also very soft spoken when I met her..very quiet. She is soo adorable and I love her even more now. I met her Saturday, and it was seriously the best day of my entire life. Here is the picture too:

I was starting to get antsy, though, knowing that only Katharine separated me from seeing Taylor Hicks for the very first time. Now you all know that I was not overly enthused by Kat during the season, and as she started, I was mentally wishing she would hurry up. I snarkily noted that she had gotten her “big, beautiful hair” cut into a layered chin-length bob, and was prepared to be thoroughly underwhelmed.
Katharine opened with “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree,” followed by “Think.” Only one more song, I thought, as she launched into the opening bars of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Now let me tell you, this is one song that normally bores me to absolute death, but a funny thing happened to me on Sunday night. As Katharine got into the familiar lines of the song, a wave of emotion washed over me, and I suddenly felt the pain of the recent loss of my sweet dog. I couldn’t help myself, and started blubbering like a baby. Something in the way she sang that song touched that place where the grief was just waiting to erupt, and I was overcome by emotion. Katharine, of all people, reached out over the entire audience and gave me a vocal hug. Thank you so much. I needed that. Of course, my seatmates, who had watched my somewhat unenthusiastic reaction to the show so far, must have thought I was some kind of escaped lunatic, and seemed to clutch their grandchildren a bit tighter.

Hi to all the wonderful McPhans. Sorry it has taken me so long to get this to you. I arrived in Syracuse at 2:30 on 9/17 and AI buses were already there. Ace came out & signed autogrphs for quite some time. He was very sweet and gracious with everyone. Then Bucky was there for a bit, also very sweet. Chris also was there in beginning as well as Mandisa. Tried to get into M/G since there weren't that many people (25 0r so) with passes but AI "powers that be" were not having it! Still no sign of Kat or Kellie yet so I walked back to my car and cried! What can I say, am a big baby when it comes to Katharine! So after I pulled myself together I still saw a small crowd at back of buses, about 40 folks andso decided to go back and wait!!! Boy, am I glad something told me to do that.
A few minutes after I got there (around 5 or so after m/g had finished) I saw Katharine come out of backstage door and walk toward the crowd. I was beside myself to say the very least. Of course, at that point I had forgotten AI poster and had to borrow scrap of paper(literally) from woman ahead of me-very lame I know but I was desparate at this point. I have to say Katharine looks so much younger and I have to say more "shy" in some ways in person than what I have seen on interviews, AI show etc. She was amazingly sweet of course but seemed somewhat "vulnerable" to me also (in a good way of course!!!)
She very graciously signed all the autographs that people were trying to get to her. Also met All About McPhee from Syracuse there with her I love Kat shirt on. She was also "in front row of crowd " and from what I could see got a very nice hug etc from Kat! So Ifinally got Kat's attention and gave her my scrap of paper to sign- I tried quickly to ask her about McPhans letters and book I had left for her with Kellie in Rochester but she didn't seem to have even seen them or know where they might be (back of bus?)
Then she left and kept signing away she came back to my "end" of the crowd and I asked if I could get a picture. Woman behind me offered to take picture. I was so nervous I didn't "get that close" and completely forgot to ask for a hug.
She had her hair cut and it was very straight and looked great of course. Did I mention yet how very young she looks in person!!! ( could be me-at age 61 everyone looks young to me maybe lol!!!) Anyway, she is adorably beautiful, sweet and just a wonderful young woman in person. I told her a few times how much I loved her etc etc.- hoping she heard me but things were moving so fast at that point! I wanted so badly to be able to "chat" with her for awhile but in that situation this just wasn't possible.
Anyway, I do feel extremely blessed that I got to see her up close and get a beautiful picture of her. Paris also came out and she was very sweet too. Kellie came out at same time as Kat so I didn't get chance to connect with her at all since she was at other end of the area. Taylor was also there for few minutes along with Lisa too.
The concert started about 30min late and went on until 10 pm It was great. Everyone did a great job- Katharine sounded amazing of course but it seemed like her "set" went way too quickly- she changed "Rainbow" up abit as she always does and it was fantastic. She wore the beautiful long black dress and then at end her "blue top" (one from People mag.interview?from awhile back) and jeans. Of course she looks great in anything she wears.
Sorry to say I had no "camera phone" or any recording equipment so don't have any AV stuff so my words will have to suffice I guess. Tour is winding down of course and we are all naturally looking forward to hearing her first CD. I feel extremely blessed to have met Katharine and am sending all of you much love and good wishes that if you haven't already met her you will definitely meet her in the future someday! Younddaughtry from the AI Boards Providence Review...
Katharine was next. She was sitting at the top of the stage. She started with Black Horse and the Cherry Tree. I now take back anything bad I ever said about Katharine. She seems genuinely sweet and she sounded really good. She looked so beautiful. Her hair was down and she wearing this gorgeous black dress. She talked to us and thanked us for all the support and told us how much she appreciated it. She did Think which was really good. She came into the crowd and shook hands. She shook mine and I said hi to her. She got on one of the pilars and started dancing with the guy who sat right in front of us which was really cute. As soon as the song was done she told us she was getting over a cold and she apologized of anything came out wrong. She did fantastic for someone who was sick. Her last song was Somewhere Over the Rainbow which was beautiful. She did it very well. The lady who sat in front of us and my mother had tears in their eyes. Katharine did excellent.

sorry it took so long. for some reason it was incredibly hard to write...and i m still 
So this is basically how it went down. As you know I was really crushed after last time with kat not being there so my best friend (who was also with me last time) told me she wouldn t rest until I d get to meet kat. Isn t that awesome? :hugs: she pratically arranged the whole trip to Hershey . she even got us passes for the m&g before the show. She’s a very good talker.  I was just responsible for getting tickets. I ended up getting us ront row tix. so at least i could contribute something 
Kellie, chris and brett were so cute when we met them at the hotel. All of them immediately recognized us. They all asked me about kat. I was really touched that they had remembered me liking kat as much as I do. I didn t really expect that. Kellie gave us the BIGGEST hug and we talked a little. She told me that she had told kat about me when she joined the tour and I got SO excited.
Someone from the crew told us kat had been in nyc the day before the Hershey concert so we assumed she would come straight to the venue. So my friend and i were standing outside the hotel (we were staying there too) cause we had just talked to brett a few minutes ago and suddenly my friend gets really quite and goes “there’s your kitty kat” (lol she didn t exactly use that name but another nickname i have for her and roughly translated i d be something like kitty kat. To me it s the funniest thing that she would use that name in such a moment ). I just stared cause it was a little hard to see through the hotel door.
She came out. akward silence. She looked EXHAUSTED. Eventually I found my voice and told her who I was. She pointed to her throat(-->she was on vocal rest) then held my hand and smiled. It all went really quick cause the guy who was with her kept pushing her into the bus. It was so weird to see her cause like I said I hadn t expected her to be at the hotel at all.
Brett came back a few moments after that and asked me if I gad gotten everything ( autograph,pic) when I said no he went to his bus and brought two signed group pics with him so that I "at least had her autograph now" ( he was the one who apart from kat impressed me the most this time.  ). After that we went to our room and I suddenly felt the urge to wash my hair again,  Don t ask me why.totally random, I know. but that s what mcphee does to ppl I guess. 
i grabbed my sign and we left for the venue.
We got our pre-show M&G passes and I almost died when we were led into the room where it took place. Her grey hoodie just killed me. It screamed "cuddle with me" . a few moments later she saw me waved and had the SWEETEST smile on her face while doing so. I TOTALLY blushed. We were almost the last ppl in line so she would look over at me from time to time. I could barely stand it.it was so intense.
When I passed chris he just smiled and said “you re going to see your girl now,huh?” it thought it was the sweetest thing. My friend also told me afterwards that when I was talking to kat kellie looked at me then her (my friend) as if she was saying “now!now!”… aww.
when it finally was my turn with kat. I gave her this pic here...
she leaned back in her chair and kinda put her hand on her mouth and was kinda like “omg.. ” then started to laugh. A lot. I absolutely loved that i could make her react like THAT to something. She showed it to kellie and whispered something to her which i couldn t hear. I don t think kellie knew what the “KIG represent” or “k-dawg” meant. She looked really confused  , haha.
I had brought two big pics for her to sign but couldn t make up my mind about which one i should give her so i held them both up(one from the top 24 photoshoot and a mcwood one ) and asked her to pick one. She reached over the table grabbed the mcwood pic(thank you god!) looked at it very closely then signed it. I was so excited i even forgot to tell her my name. Lol
Come on! that counts as a mcwood moment, doesn t it?????
oh and look what my friend got me.  My b-day is not for another two weeks or so but she said she was SO scared she’d lose it so she gave it to me already. She didn t even get herself an autograph. best.friend.ever.
sorry I didn t bring you guys something better like a video,message or more pics from the M&G. I didn t function very well that day. I was in a constant state of when around mcphee you have no idea . my meeting was of course not as glorious as s-town’s or some others here but I m happy now and I can t wait to go see her again (and then I want my pic with her...)
I thought the concert was much better than last time( although I already enjoyed it the first time around) I even liked taylor’s set a little. Kat read my sign and laughed and waved at least 4 times at me which I of course loooooved. Even now when I think of her looking at me I get nervous
we were also supposed to get after party passes but that didn t work out in the end. but it was ok since someone told us afterwards only brett,l isa, paris and mandisa had shown up.

PROVIDENCE (TY, PHEE)

I went to the Providence show last night . Finally, I got see my favorite entertainer on this planet! Unfortunately, I didn't have meet and greet passes or invitation to the afterparty. I gotta say, I went to the Worcester show at the beginning of the tour, and the Idols really refined their skills over the summer. Kat wasn't at the Worcester show, which made it all the less exciting for me.
Needless to say, I was there for the moment I'd been waiting for since tix became available for the tour. She was at the top of the stage, and then, "two, three, four"! The crowd received her very well, she got everyone to sing with her. She's such a doll!! Then she sang "Think", and got everyone to start dancing, Kat can really move and dance. She's got such great stage presence. Then she told us that she battling a cold, and apologized for not being able to hit certain notes. I noticed it in Think, that she couldn't hit a certain note, but she recovered from it quite well. She's absolutely beautiful. She sang " Over The Rainbow" extremely well. The crowd gave her a standing O, very well deserved.
I think I was the only one there with the orange glowsticks, I had ten of them, and me and Sandi(my girls mother), gave a few out to the people sitting near us. They were very thankful, and happy we gave them out. I could see the whole Arena, and didn't see any glowsticks like ours. After the show, I saw a couple of girls wearing Kat t-shirts, so we gave them our last glowsticks, and they were surprised that complete strangers were giving them something, and very thankful. I tried to hang around after, where the buses were, but security was trying to get people away from there. I heard the crowd roar a couple of times, but couldn't see who was getting on the bus. So, I didn't get to see my Kat up close. I've come to realize that my luck hasn't been too good when it comes to trying to see Katharine. I had fantastic seats for the Worcester show, (3rd row center), but she wasn't there, had tix for Hartford, she wasn't there, and finally, the tour comes around to Providence, and I almost didn't make it there. I would've loved to have gotten in to see her, but I don't have special connections, nor do I know which radio station was giving out passes. I'm just glad that I did get to see her perform live.
Honestly, I will be happy when Katharine McPhee is the headline of her own tour. That is what I relly want to see. |

PROVIDENCE (PHEE, it's raining for KC... TY)

AHHH!  I'm sorry if this is kind of random and doesn't make sense at times but you'll have to forgive me because I'm still in like shock/spaz mode right now! Yesterday we left around 11AM to go to the venue (It was in RI and I live in NH so it's like a 2 hour drive). We got there around 1:00 and I met up with my friend Jen and her sister Liz at the busses. We waited there for a little bit and Kellie, Paris, Kat, Lisa & Mandisa all came out one by one and waved as they went in but no one came over to sign.
At like 3:00 Jen wanted to go inside to see if they had any extra M&G passes because her sister Liz made this AMAZING tourbook for Bucky with laminated & decorated pages for every stop of the tour he's been on and she really wanted to give it to him. So we went in and asked the Poptarts lady if she had any extra passes that she would be able to give out later and told her about Liz's book. She said she wasn't sure but for us to just hang around and if it was a small crowd she'd let us know. After like 10 mins of waiting all of the sudden I get this frantic call from my friend Sam who was waiting at the busses with my sister Julie and she's SCREAMING her head off because she loves Chris and he just came out to sign and gave her a hug and everything. Ace came out to sign after that too and Kat came out and waved again, but somehow I misheard that as Kat was coming out to SIGN so I start running back to the busses and Sam was like no no she just walked inside! lmao so I ran back to the venue with Liz and Jen went down to the busses just incase Kat or Bucky actually did come out to sign. The M&G was running really late because Ace wouldn't stop signing at the busses so finally at like 4:30 they made him come in. The Poptarts lady looked through Liz's book and said she'd give us 2 passes but no more because they wanted to keep it a small crowd. Jen had an after party pass to meet Katharine after the show so she said I could take the M&G one to go meet her with Liz. I totally DIED at the point. (Jen, you are my hero for like.. life. )
So we got in line with all the people for the M&G at the way end because we wanted to be able to talk to the idols without being rushed along. Finally after everyone was in got to the door but I couldn't really see around the corner so I asked the little girl in front of me if she could see Katharine but she didn't know who she was so I was like "The really pretty one! She has short hair now!" and she's like "OHH yep I see her! She's there!" I almost died.. lmfao again. I was shaking soo much when we finally walked in. I immediately looked down the table and saw Kat sitting at the end next to Taylor. She had a box of tissues with her and really didn't look like she felt good.  She had her glasses on though!  The security was being annoying about cameras and they wouldn't let me take pics because the little girls in front of us had stopped with like EVERY idol to take pics and it really slowed the line down. So I like refused to not be able to get anything on camera so I started a video haha. First I met Kellie, then Paris, Lisa, Mandisa, Bucky, Chris, Ace & Elliott. They were all really nice & you can see what a dork I am and stuff in the video because this review is already like 40 pages long as it is! haha. Anyway so my video is going good and security hasen't noticed or anything & I get to Ace. He signed my tourbook and I said thank you, tried to move onto Elliott, but he stopped me and was like " OMG you want a pic?!" I was like UHHHHHH O_O cause Kat was next and I really only wanted to record her but of course Ace is Ace so I had to stop the video and I took a pic of Elliott & him together, haha. (That's why the video is in 2 parts between the Top 8 & Kat and Taylor).
I quickly switched back to video for Kat and handed her my book. I had NO idea what to say omg I was shaking soo much. I was just like "Kat I'm so sorry you're sick!" and she was like "Aww it's okayy", but I could tell she really didn't feel well. :[ She said nice to meet you and I said you too, then I stepped to the side because Liz was still further up the table talking to Bucky about the book (we were the last 2 people in line) and one of the tour managers was waiting behind me to talk to Kat. I stopped my video then because I figured that was the only time I was gonna be able to talk to her and stepped to the side. As I was standing there I decided to try and take a few pics of her while the guy talked to her & I got a few without security noticing! hehe :] After that it was just me and her standing there as she waited for Liz to make her way down and I was just seriously standing there staring at her like "omfg I cannot believe I'm standing in front of Katharine McPhee." haha  She noticed me looking at her and motioned for me to come over again so I did and she was like "Aww! I love your shirt, that's so cute." ( My Shirt) I was like thanks it took a really long time to make! and she was like "Aww I bet!". I told her that my friend Jen had after party passes for tonight and was gonna give her a letter from me and she got all excited and was like "Ooh I love letters!!" I have no idea what I said after that because I was still in total shock that I was actually talking to Katharine McPhee, but we talked about something else while she waited. Liz's picture finally got down to her and she signed it and then got up to go backstage for soundcheck. She said something to me about soundchecks and laughed but I don't remember what it was because I was still like  . The tour manager started walking her away and then she turned around to wave and say bye to me and I thanked her again as she walked into the arena. I died for a third time.
AHH I still can't believe I actually met her. NOTHING like this ever happens to me and I just feel so thankful that I had this opportunity that I can't even put it into words. Kat is seriously the nicest and most down-to-earth person I've ever met. She makes you feel like you've known her forever and you're one of her friends or something. It's hard to explain but people that have met her will know what I'm talking about. Also, she is MUCH more quiet & reserved in person than she is on TV/stage! She's very soft-spoken and sweet while she talks to you. Ahh I just love her so much! All the other idols were really nice too, except Taylor. =/ You'll see in my video, he didn't even look at me when I said thank you and then just got up to leave. After that one of the backstage people was telling him aboiut something and he goes "I already know that, I'm not stupid. Don't treat me like I'm an idiot, I know what I'm doing.", and walked away. So uhh yeah I don't know what that was all about but I was too busy staring at Kat to care.
Okay! Here's my media from the day/concert. I recorded all of Kat's performances & it's they're good quality videos because we had good seats & my new camera I got for my birthday has like amazing zoom. Enjoy!

Ok so, i went to the 9/23 show... some of you may know that the night before i won M&G passes on the radio, which was sooo amazing!!!!
Oh i should warn you that this will be really long and detailed, because it deserves it!!! 
So we got to the arena @ 3, and we went to the busses,No one could sign because there was this midevil times type fence that was locked and suposedly no one had the key 
Then we get the M&G passes, and are waiting inside, we buy a program and all that stuff! So then we get to the table and i am the very 1st one in line and the guards were like no pictures!!!! - WHAT?!?!? and then i got really confused but then paris and kellie and mandisa was like oh no dont listen to him, snap away!!! so i put my program for ace and chris to sign, chris was soo cute!!! he was like oh wow you look so excited and i was like well duhhh!!! hehe i didnt really get to talk to any of them... um ok yeah, so when i went to get my camera, i put my kat poster on the table (just to put it down) and then everyone started to sign it, so i was like oh ok!!! hehe i only really talked to mandisa for a little, telling her that i loved her and i couldnt wait for her to perform! then i said hi to elliot..........
...... then Katharine!!!!!!!!!!! ok so i know that she was sick on thursday and wasnt at the M&G, and when i walked in i couldnt see her but once i looked up from my picture of elliot..... there she was!!!!!!!! She looked gorgeous as always!! in a big red hoodie and hair up so by the time i walk up to her she has my sign... ( that i made b4 i won the M&G) hehe and she looks at my shirt - it has the new/old kat in pink shirt w/glasses pic on it!!! and goes:
Kat: aww i like your shirt!!
Me: aww thanks i like your glasses... then she giggled!!! I really do love you soooo much and your gorgeous!!!
Kat: aww come... (she was contemplating on giving me a hug) well im sick! ( then i go to give her a big hug, and shes says: I guess you dont care huh? haha
Me: absolutely not!!!!!
Kat: do you wanna take a picture? - yes!! ( so im getting ready to take the pic of us and she goes do you want someone else to take it? -yes that would probably be a better idea!! so then the guy takes the picture (although he couldnt take a pic if his life depended on it!!!! he got 1/2 my face  )and kat hugs me again!!! and tells me that im so sweet and that enjoy the show.... ok so by now, um i just met KAT!!!! so me being me, i start crying and walk away and kat notices and shouts out ohh, dont cry!!!! and then im like, crap i didnt get a picture of taylor!!! i just skipped him...lol hehe so i go back with tears in my eyes and kat is like aww stop crying sweetie, come here!!! so she gave me ANOTHER HUG!!! oh man i love her!!!!!!!!!!!  im just gonna post the kat-related pics on here, but you can click on them and see them in my photobucket...
So ^ was extremely awesome, but i was bummed that i only got to talk to her for like a minute 
alright so next was the show, i saw 3 kat phans in 2nd row  and i hopped over like 3 seats, almost falling.. lol so we chatted for a bit about the meet and greet!!! on with the show... everyone was good!!! Lisa was so touched she was tearing up.. Kat was amazing, i dont really remember BHACT b/c my camera died and i had a rage blackout!!! ugh that sucked, we brand 2 digital cameras and 3 disposable ones, those were used up and i now hate my new camera!!!!!  oh well... onto THINK!!! ok so yeah, awesome!!! hehe kat came down and danced right infront of Diane, Michelle and another person which i didnt catch her name...  oh my goodness these girls were so lucky!!!! ahh darn them...
LIA was awesome- kat danced great!!! again- no camera and no video so i hope some one got really good ones of that!!!
Alright now to the GOOD part!!
so my mom and i figured that we should just try to get into the after party... so we showed a little bit of our M&G passes and that got us through 2 rounds of security... once we got to the last time nope, the guy lifted up my shirt and said you have to step down... 
So about 30 seconds later we see these 3 girls waiting and i hear one of them say, we have to leave, we cant wait any longer... so of course i run up to them and am like well why cant you get in? and they said that 1 of the 3 didnt have a pass so they wouldnt let them in, and they had to leave like asap!! and i was like well if it doesnt work out, can we have your passes? and she looks at me and goes yeah, b/c you love kat!!!! OH MY GOODNESS WE GOT THOSE PASSES!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah... i guess this is my lucky weekend!!!! so we get in and i go straight to kat, she has a few ppl already there.. once it was my turn she goes "hey beautiful" long time no see"
Me: i know, i love you!!! can you sign this ( i got 5 kat auto's in all ) and of course she said yes and hugged me again... she went to sign my cd and was like: "whats you name again?.... wait did i even know your name?" Me: hehe no you didnt, but its stephanie!!!" Kat: oh ok stephanie!! ( by the way, i just love the way she writes my name  ) hehe , my mom was right behind me so she said aww kat she really does love you!! and then kat turns to me and gives me the biggest smile ever!!!! ( ok yeah just reminding you all that all of my cameras are worthless at this point, so i have no pics of this - i have some on my cellphone of kat and me and chris and me and ace... and others, i dont know if you can put those on here though... ) so kat and i talk for a little bit more and then i feel bad so i move onto kellie... then i subconsiously take out my phone and take a pic of kellie, then im like ummm wait a sec!!! so i turn around and take as many i can of kat... so then im upset and i go back in line for kat b/c i wanna pic w/her on my phone... once i finally get back up there im like "im sorry your probably really sick of me by now but i 4got my phone took pics ( i felt like a dork) so she happily took the pic BUT when she had her arm around me, she kept rubbing my back!!! ahh i loved it, i felt special then i asked her 2 sign another thing and she was like no problem.. .then i show her my phone and that she is my backround and told me that i was too cute!!! i know that she threw a few adorable's in during the whole convo... and then asked me how old i was and i told her, 17 and she said " oohh so your still tiny!" hehe she said tiny! so i think i should stop now b/c im rambling but i just cant help it!!!
i do have to say though that all the idols were really uneasy about the whole after party thing though... it was sooooo badly organized, it was unreal!!! i really only had about 5 minutes w/kat!!! there were just so many ppl!!! + we were crowded in a small place!!! when i was near paris, she looked like she was gonna faint and i yelled "everyone get back paris is claustrophobic!!!" and she looked at me and mouthed thanks and winked!!! seriously, everyone was like up on the idols!!! -no organization!!
- and our lovely kat had her purse right next to her... which i took a pic of (hehe) and it was opened!!!!! someone could've taken something!!!! ok so ill stop now... but i did have the time of me life last night aand i reallllly dont think that anything can top saturday!!!!!!!!!

I got there around 4:00 and we went to eat and we got back to the arena at a quarter to 5 where we, my sister and two friends and I waited by the busses and we signed Elliot’s banner. We saw Bucky and Chris a lot, talking on their phones and moving from bus to bus to building. Well there was really no sign of Kat or other idols for a while so we were just standing around with a group of about 20 people more or less, when I see a poster that I recognize. I walk up to the girl with the orange posters and a Kat shirt on with Kat in Glasses on the front and ask “so are you McAddict07,” and she’s like yea and you are? and I tell her my name and we talk a bit and she says that the meet and greet finished about 20 minutes or so ago but that you had not even a minute with each idol, but she did have some pictures of Kat wearing a big red hoodie.
We waited around a while more and we start hearing roars and yells so we look and Kat is walking with her head to the crowd, but we recognize her because of McAddict’s picture, and I think she was walking with Nick, but I’m not 100% on this theory. We saw Fred a couple times but of course when I knew his name my friends were looking at me like a freak, and I just told them that I have my ways of getting my info. Kellie and Taylor each walked by once and each time the crowd went wild, and around six o’clock a guy wearing a hat and glasses and a big plain sweater, making him unrecognizable hopped on a scooter and gave it a little drive around and brought it back. We think it was either Taylor or Elliot.
In the arena we bought some things. My two friends and I each got a Katharine shirt which I put over my polo and then pulled out my orange collar, I was pimping. I also got a tour book, the prices for the souvenirs were reasonable. We got to our seats and we were next to some nice people and then some girls about our age and a mom behind us, they were alright but they told my friend to put down the poster which I then grabbed and held up.
Katharine- OMG!! I could not believe that the person I have been obsessing over for the last almost a 4-5 months was standing 20 feet away from me. I almost fainted, but I recovered and took some good pictures. She was amazing the best even though she was sick, well at least I think. After she finished her two upbeat tempo songs this lady that worked at the arena was asking us to sit down so we walked to our row and I asked, “ Can I get just one good picture,” and she said it was fine, but to make it very quick, so I run up and I get 2 pictures and I look back and she is gone so I yell to my friends to come back up, so we stayed there.
When she stopped to do her speech I yelled out “I love you Katharine!” Along with everyone else in the arena that were Kat fans and she smiled. She was saying how she was sorry she had to sing for us being sick and I yelled out “We still love you Katharine,” and she said something like thanks or I love you all too. OK Somewhere Over the Rainbow is coming and she sings a bit and waves at a couple of people and while she is singing my friend and I are moving are hands in the air, we are the only people even moving because everyone else is in awe, and we are yelling, “Katharine!, Katharine!,” and waving and she looked at us and waved. I almost died.
Living in America- My camera was dying so I only got about 2 or so good pictures. But my ears were working and the song was very good and Kat sang her part very well.
Final Bows- Excellent Show!! I LOVED my first concert ever. |

My day started off at 11am when I had to leave my house to drive to the ferry. My friend and two sons went with me. We took the 12pm ferry over to Bridgeport, CT. We were able to catch a shuttle van over to the arena and arrived probably 1:30 ish. At that time, they were a few other Idol fans there already. We all were waiting behind the metal bar fences where the buses would eventually park.
I met a few of the members from KMF while waiting outside, that was very nice. I got to meet Diane, Michelle, Amanda, I'm sorry I forgot the name of the girl with Amanda, and then I met Miuman (only know his screenname). I enjoyed meeting all of you, we definitely had a fun time hanging out waiting and hoping for Kat to make an appearance. We all of a sudden notice the buses driving to the arena and all start screaming. Kat got off the bus, with her red hooded sweatshirt, hood pulled over her head. I also saw Kellie, Mandisa, Paris, Taylor, Chris, Ace (so cute!!) and Bucky get off as well. We all start screaming their names hoping they would come over to us.
Now time for the Meet and Greet!!! First I was told by the security, my name wasn't on the list and i couldn't get in. I almost died, eventually it was all straigtened out and my name was on the radio contest winners list , AND GOT IN at the last minute. So, you can understand why I got so freaking nervous when I got inside to meet Kat. I'm pretty much the last person in the line to meet the Idols and as I'm getting closer and closer to the table I keep repeating the lines to myself of what I want to say to Kat. God, I wish I wasn't so nervous. It didn't help with the security hurrying you along either. I kept saying I hope Kat is here, because of her being sick and her missing a recent meet and greet. She was sitting at the far end of the table right before Taylor.
I counted the heads , and when I counted 10 I was much more relieved knowing they all were there but especially Kat.( Im sure most of you know I had gone to another M &G back in July when Kat was out sick. So, really all I needed to see today was Kat. (Your only allowed to get one thing autographed by each Idol, but Kat was soooo sooo Kind and sweet that she autographed 3 different items for me. SHe is sooo sweet. I'm finally standing in front of her, and I tell her I'm sorry if I seem so nervous, she says "just relax yourself you'll be fine" . I first hand her the binder with all of the letters and let her know that it is from all of her fans over at KMF Site, she says AWWW thank you and gives the binder a hug, it was cute to see.
I then hand her a gift bag with something that I had bought for her, and she says "thank you ,you are sooo sweet. After she autographs my items, I ask her if I could give her a hug. she says "of course you can, come over here sweetie" and then she leans over the table towards me and gives me a big hug. I was dying at this moment. She does tell me that she has a cold and apologizes, and I told her don't be silly. At this moment, I guess I went over my 60 seconds with Kat cause the security guy says Ok , you really need to move along now, get your stuff please. Kat again says thanks for everything and nice meeting you. It was a wonderful experience and I know I will always remember it,
During the concert, I was screaming soooo loudly thoroughout it but more so when Kat was performing her set , that when I woke up today I had no voice. I think she heard me cause she looked up into my section and waved (i was the only one in my section standing up and jumping up and down holding my signs for her and screaming of course. Actually, during the video that MichelleF posted, about 1:22 into it during BHATCT you can see on the right side my orange signs waving around -thats was me! Also, about 9:40 into the video during SWOTR, I am definitely sure that is my voice screaming "we love you Katharine" , I guess I was pretty loud screaming for Kat, considering today I have no voice.
I'm glad to share my experience with all of you, it was just awesome having the chance of meeting Kat in person- I will never forget it.

Don't worry Minnie, I'm checking in here and I will catch up and thanks so much for keeping track of everthing. Kinda busy here with katpedia and trying to make a living too. So - couple more days to catch up and that should be it except for some manageable back and fill. I hope everyone will continue to scan for idol tour materials that we can continue to add to the site. |
