Katharine was so wonderful tonight, and recieved such high praise for "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", that I'm not really nervous for tomorrow's result show. For some reason, that scares me. I've been nervous for her since she sang "I Have Nothing", and so far, thats been working for me! I decided I would start talking about it to *get* nervous; its working.

Katharine has to be in the finale!

Well it was worth all the sore dialing fingers this season just to hear Kat sing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"...

She is through to the finals on the strength of tonight's performance....

Can you imagine what else this woman has in store for us?

She was amazing tonight.
So even though dial-idol and zaba show that it is close-
I'm not worried, really, maybe I should be.
But she did amazing!

And really proved herself.

I am not nervous at all. She definitely earned a spot in the finals but if for some reason she doesn't get it, well, life is not always fair and we will get to see her sooner elsewhere. She showed so much potential last night that I know she will attract many offers. No matter what happens with that sometimes kooky show, Kat (and us) have already won!

She just... HAS to be in the finale.

The Zaba numbers have her over two million votes ahead of Elliott. She was less than a million ahead of Chris. Thats a pretty big number. If (heaven forbid) sombody tampers with those, thats some pretty big tampering

Also, how much money do you think Clive Davis sees when he imagines signing her as opposed to (bless his heart) Elliott? LOTS and LOTS more. He sees a SUPERSTAR that can not ONLY sing like an angel from heaven she can act as well

I'm hoping for the best, everything will stay above boards and work out right.

In a way though, the heck with all that. With the sheer brilliance of her performance last night...there is no way she can be denied. NO WAY

I'm nervous alright. Not as much as last week though. I just feel worlds better that she's in the top 3, which is a VERY worthy accomplishment. Still it's even better to be in the top 2! But anything can happen tonight, even after Kat's steller performances. It's just too close to call- even Taylor isn't definately safe. Last week we got lucky and caught Chris' fans asleep at the wheel. No such luck this week.

But she would be guaranteed a spot in the Finale if she finished with SOTR.
As Simon said she took 5 steps forward with SOTR and 1 step back with her last song..
I didn't think that way, but we've stated on other threads that 'impartial america' will vote based on judge comments, and sometimes their last performance.

I am confident and convinced that Kat will be fine.
