From the "AI" homepage: American Idols are popping up all over the place as we head into 2007. Not only is Chris Daughtry performing in Times Square on New Year's Eve, but Anaheim native Lisa Tucker will perform on Orange County’s only Rose Parade float on New Year's Day. She will perform an original rendition of Frank Sinatra’s "Young at Heart" on the float while 28 dancers perform alongside. Accompanying Tucker on the float will be six winners of the Mayor’s TechScholar program, an initiative to help Anaheim students advance technologically and academically. Funny, no mention of Katharine performing..... Also, check out the latest poll on the 'AI' homepage. If the current status holds up....... hilarious......whatever......

Oh my gosh. The AI poll. Yeah, Taylor going to be wayyyyy more successful than that stiff Kelly Clarkson. What she's only sold more than 10 million albums? Taylor's going to do that, EASY! It just goes to show you Kelly's fans have moved way beyond voting in AI.com polls. EDIT: Oh Lisa...um, which number float is she going to be on? Close to Katharine? I would think they would spread out the Idols. As for Katharine. Idols everywhere. Daughtry on New Year's Eve and Lisa at the Rose Parade! What's up with that? You promote 10th place's appearance at the Rose Parade and not your top female and second place finisher? Huh? And I'm happy for Lisa. I really like her, that just doesn't make sense. I do like how LifeSource is promoting Katharine. "The top female vocalist from American Idol 2006".

I think it's up to each sponsor to promote their own float. Katharine is getting tons of promotion from LifeSource. That's great about Lisa, too. She deserves to have the exposure. Wonder how Paris is doing?

^ Paris has a record deal with Columbia. She's working with some good producers, and her first single will be a song called "Dreamin." I heard it on her MySpace though...along with another song. Not very good, but I wish her well. Apparently she did a lot of writing on her album, so good for her. I think I'd prefer a Lisa Tucker album, though...or even Ace Young.

I was wondering about that since Lisa said she'll be on TV between 9 & 9:30 a.m. So I guess that's about the time Katharine will be on. I would prefer a Lisa album to a Paris album as well. I was so impressed with Lisa when I saw her at the Idols tour. Lisa & Elliott were my pleasant surprises.

Hopefully Lisa likes the scent of oranges...because they'll perhaps have that scent on the float despite not many oranges to be seen in the O.C. Thanks for the news on that--and I'm surprised they decided to have two idol stars on the same parade. Even Macy's Parade didn't have two of the most talented idol stars--though the local connection here makes a difference. Hopefully Lisa will sit down at a keyboard while she sings on the float. She's quite impressive when she does that--and I also liked her performance of those Elton John tunes during the tour. Perhaps there were too many Elton songs, but she has the ability to make a fairly decent album if she made one. One thing about sitting at a keyboard or pianos on floats: I've noticed that jarring movements on the float can make some people nearly fall off their benches. In recent years, I've seen some people sitting at keyboards on floats during Macy's and other parades who seemed to get a little disoriented while they focused on playing. That happens when your focus is on the keyboard in front of you and not the movement (and sometimes sudden stops) of the float you're riding on. It's better to stand up and follow the flow of movement so it doesn't feel (or look) like you need a seatbelt while sitting on the bench. I'm really going to like seeing the Rose Bowl Parade for once again. It's been a long time since I've seen it live...even though I'm likely not going to be watching it live. I may get up anyway to catch Kat and Lisa if that 9:30 a.m. estimate is true.

now more then ever, i am really am sorry to have to be missing this year's Rose Parade. i mean i knew Kat was going to be there performing live and now to hear that Lisa Tucker will also be there singing the old Frank Sinatra hit "Young At Heart", double whammy. i do believe that is a perfect song for Lisa to be singing, i hope that we can get great front row seats to watch these two performances by Kat and Lisa on tv, well, at any rate, i wish nothing but success for Lisa Tucker, she is a great talent, just wait and see, the girl can sing....
