So as most of you saw, Ordinary World is going to be on kat's album, and is supposedly incredible.  It's written and producer by Walter , and he is responsible for some of the best ballads ever, in my opinion, and certainly of the 90s decade.

For those who haven't heard or don't remember them, I wanted to share a few links to the songs he did with Mariah.

He also produced My Heart Will Go On and a New Day Has Come for Celine Dion. 

Kat's really lucky to be working with him, he brings first rate material to the table.  A great ballad lasts and lasts and lasts, because it touches people. That's hard to do with a typical pop song.  Here's hoping that "Ordinary World" can be a track that people are listening to for years to come.

I think Katharine mentioned this song in one of her interviews. Apparently she loves it too. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album.

I am so happy to see Katharine getting the star treatment by working with all these great people. It shows how much faith everyone has in her, and her ability to really sell a song and make old stuff sound new, and new stuff sound good as well. She has to fit in with the trends and still sound like herself. I'm still not entirely sure what "the Katharine McPhee sound" is, but taken as a whole, the "McPhee method" seems to involve singing live instead of lip synching (as on the float), doing your own backup tracks, and using just enough enhancement to, well, enhance and not overpower, because the basic stuff you're working with is good quality and doesn't need to be disguised. I think that's what Randy used to call keeping it real. Dawg.

She deserves every bit of it. With her talent and the industry believing in her like they so obviously do, we are on the verge of a major force in the industry stepping on to the stage right in front of our eyes.
