I am certainly no fan of some of the other Idols. Kat is my favorite, no contest. I like and support some of the others, but not all of them. However, it would break my heart to go on a Taylor, Chris, or Elliott site and see them gloating about Kat doing badly or making fun of her. It probably happens, but let's not go there. Katharine deserves to have us represent her in a classy, repectful way. Let's take the high road most of the time. When someone is bashing Kat, yes, defend her like we always do. But let's cool it on some of the negativity. Kat was friends with many of her fellow competitors and even if we don't care for them, there are others that do. Sorry if I sound like I'm lecturing, that's not my intent, I just have a natural "peacemaker" complex.

You are correct. We should display the class that Kat has always shown. It is just so hard to not gloat a tiny bit when you have been hearing some of this stuff thrown our way for so long. But I promise from now on at least publically I will do what my mother taught me and if I don't have anything nice to say I won't say anything at all. So that being said Chris's numbers are very good and I am waiting to hear something great from Elliott!

I agree many times when I'm on youtube I see people bashing Kat and I dont want a fan of another idol seeing that about them.

Boy, can I relate to that complex and, to top it off, I have three teenage boys and am a single mom...try to be a peacemaker with these guys!!! LOL I agree 100%. I've seen the bashing on Taylor's site and wonder if those fans realize how close they were. I bet Kat and Taylor and everyone else would be telling us the same thing you are if they had time to read all the stuff written!! You go girl

I posted a positive critique of Taylor's performance at the Orange Bowl this morning. I said some really positive (and true) things about Taylor as a stage performer. The bottom line: Would I buy his album: NO

I'd never buy his album but I respect her ability to entertain live. I just don't get listening to him while I'm driving around in the car. As for the being respectful...I don't think anyone really takes any personal shots at the other Idols here. Unlike what others say about Katharine...when they take apart every piece of her. They don't keep it to her singing, or chart news, etc, etc. It gets personal and the comments get nasty. EDIT: I just noticed my typo in the first paragraph. "her ability to entertain live"...I guess I'm used to talking about a "her" so much...

Nothing that is said here is ANYTHING compared to what they say. There's a difference from simply giving an honest opinion and all out personal bashing. KMF has the former, and they have the latter.

I totally agree that what we say is nothing compared to the lashing Kat has received, I just like to see us totally take the high road and make bashers look bad with our classiness. Most of the time we are absolutely great with this. And yes, Chris is selling very well and I'm glad Bucky has a deal.

Totally agree. Constructive criticism is generally accepted negativity from music fans, however, Katharine haters and trash-talkers say some downright horrible, nasty things about a sweet woman on a personal level. I personally can't abide that and see it simply as a waste of energy. I never bought into the idea that any attention is good attention. It's ugly and unnecessary.
