Hey Everybody! This is Austin Carroll. I stopped by my friend Joel's house tonight, and he told me I should hop on here and write something, so I am using his username. Just so everything is cleared up... I received a call this morning from a friend of mine who told me that someone had figured out that the Better Off Alone on my page was the actual song that Kat would be recording, and that there were all kinds of discussions about it on the message boards and so on and so forth. The reason I decided to remove it is because I didn't want you to hear the rough demo and get the wrong idea of the song. Kat's version is a far surperior fully produced version and mine was just a piano vocal I did in the studio a long time ago. I thought it would be better if everyone heard it done write. It's one of my faves that I ever wrote, so that's why I had it on my page, and I didn't think that word would get out, but hey...I underestimated the devotion of Kat's fans. lol. ANYWAYS.... Thanks so much for the nice comments everyone left me on my myspace today. You are all very nice and I really appreciate them. I'm glad Kat has such great fans, as she is very deserving of them. She is a truly amazing individual. Not just a singer or performer, but a very gifted and kind-hearted person. She also does an amazing job on the song, and there could not have been a better person to sing it. She really took it to a whole new level. Before I loved the song, but now I'm just blown away by it. I am just as excited as everyone else to see it live on New Years. She is going to nail it. Thanks again for the nice comments and the support. EVERYONE needs to tune in Monday, even though I know you will. lol. This is a very cool message! I went and checked out Austin's site and he's quite the singer! And so young. For some reason I thought he'd be older. Anyhoo, as soon as he approves me as a friend I'll leave him a message. I think we all should, as he's helping to launch our girl's career into high gear! ^_^

It's also a marketing process by RCA to make people suffer and beg them to put out a bigger size...only to have the same size inside the album liner notes. As I said in another thread, RCA probably doesn't want to put out large poster versions of things--because they have to go through another company to have them printed. That means a 50/50 profit problem that RCA suits would foam at the mouth about. But yes, it'd be more than nice to see a huge blow-up of that RCA montage. It's one of the best I've ever seen...and every pic of Kat in there is outstanding. That one at the table (or whatever that is) is one we've never seen before. It also gives sort of a clue where that photoshoot (in the black dress) was shot...if you can recognize the type of tree that is in the background. Back to the topic: It's great to see Austin Carroll getting some recognition for writing 'BOA.' If lurking reporters for major publications still read here as they used to--someone will probably pick up on this and have something about it in a major mag before long. It'll probably happen after Kat's appearance on the parade Monday...but I'm sure the song is going to get a lot of attention. That is, if the producers of the parade telecast actually let Kat sing the song in its entirety. I WILL complain to someone if it's ten seconds of Kat--and then spending five minutes on the All American Donkey & Mule Riders.
