Hey everyone,
I hope this message finds you well as the holiday is nearing. I am really excited for my little surprise coming up within the next couple of days. So look for it on Katharinemcphee.com. On another note there is some question on the Walmart single and what is going to be the 1st single. The 2 songs being sold at Walmart are just exclusive for Walmart. That doesn't mean either of them are singles being released for radio or music video. I don't even think "I lost you" and "dangerous" are making it on the record. Just think of them as a little bonus track! If you do go out and get the two songs I hope you enjoy them. That's it for now... much love and blessings. XXX

Interesting to hear that the surprise isn't the single! Now I'm REALLY excited. I guess the album will be amazing, if ILY and D aren't included. I'm hoping the rest of the album is just better than those songs. Thanks for keeping us posted, Kat!

Yes the surprise isn't the single AND this whole rumor going around about Lost You being the single, Katharine just answered all the questions, so no one should question it anymore. Lost You, she answered about the video as well. So now everyone has the answers and it was great to hear from Katharine!

Finally! I just posted on another thread that Kat would substantiate the debate over which one will be the single and video. Another Surprise? OMG She loves us and I know that CD will be worth all the waiting and speculating. It's going to be PHABULOUS.

My God, if these songs which I love aren't even going to make the record then how incredible must the ones that DO make it sound? God I love this girl even more. She answers our questions, knows what we are talking about and still gives us more surprises. She knew we were a bit dissapointed by the delay in the release so she gets us a single with other songs to enjoy. She is always thinking if her fans. I couldn't be more proud to be a Kat fan than I am right now!!!!

This is going to be a fun week waiting for it.

I read her bullitin on my myspace. I thought the single was the surprise!! Kat is just too good to us. lol. I can't wait to find out what it is!!

Maybe the surprise is that her album will come out earlier than she said. Just Kidding. Wishful thinking. What I really think it's going to be is a music video. Whatever it is I can't wait to find out!!

It's great to hear from Kat, I thought it's amazing that she answered all the questions we had re video and singles. This album will be fantastic if catchy songs like dangerous and i lost you couldn't even make into it, hopefully more good news will come.

It's great that one artist takes such a personal interest in her fans. She obviously knows what we are discussing and answers our questions. She keeps inundating us with these wonderful gifts and surprises just to make up for pushing back the drop date of the CD. How many artists or celebrities will do that for their fans? She keeps in constant communication. Katharine McPhee is wonderful and I am proud to be a KatPhan.

I think her album will blow up on the Billboard charts. She's gotta make it to number one, but her single comes out at my Wal-mart tomorrow, and I can't wait to get it!! I also ordered one too.

I figured "Dangerous" was the B side, but I'm surprised "I Lost You" won't even be on the album. Either way, they are both great songs. I'm just excited to hear even more from Katharine! She really is too good to us; we've been spoiled! There will never be another Katharine McPhee.

I can't wait to see what her surprise is; but I don't want to speculate on it too much...she wants to keep it a surprise obviously!

The surprise - I can't see it being another song after the surprise 2 songs last week and THE single from the album coming out soon. I can't see it being THE single from the album either as that is predicted and expected and hardly a surprise. I don't think she will be announcing any roles in movies that she has won, since when does an actress do that? More content and goodies on the website wouldn't really be a surprise either, that has already been promised.

I think it will be more video along the lines of the Billboard Diary. Which will be just fine with me.

The best thing to do now is to enjoy the surprise, enjoy our holidays and when the single is out we will know what it is and then can request for airplay on the radio stations. It's not a must for us to know ahead of time of what the single will be. Now we just have to keep patient with this and let Katharine and her team do what they have to do. I hope this cleared up a lot for the fans, I know it's been a constant question, but always remember we can't believe every rumor and we are going to have to gain a lot of patience with Katharine in this business.

We won't be able to run to her everytime we hear a rumor, we need to take better judgement and trust that her and or RCA will let us know any Kat McPhee related stuff when we need to know it.

I am absolutely AMAZED that D and ILY are just bonus tracks! And the funny thing is, I speculated EXACTLY that when the songs were first leaked. But I have since grown to love both of them, especially ILY, which I find a haunting, entrancing song that could be a major hit. You just have to wonder what in the world the album is like if a song as good as ILY is nothing more than a bonus track not even considered as a single candidate. Seriously, I can't even imagine it.!

What a great surprise just finding this out!! I too am sooo excited for the album and I agree it must be amazing music if these were two "rejects"...OMG!!! I am on my way to Walmart first thing in the AM. I just hope it's not a nightmare dealing with the store staff that seem kinda clueless in the music dept. Sighs!

Kat is such a sweetheart and I don't care if anyone gives me a hard time for being a fan because she is worth it! I get teased for being a fan because I am older and I am so enthused by Kat that when I talk about her with my kids they give me a really hard time...LOL!

Kat you are awesome...thank you so much for all you do to bring your light of love into the world and for caring about your fans too! HUGS!!

I love how modest Kat is in that statement and the assumption that someone in the fanbase won't bother to step foot into a Walmart to get those songs. In reality, Walmart will probably sell out of them by the end of the week or sooner. And I'll be making my first visitation to Walmart tomorrow...while possibly facing the wrath of ignorance in the music department. I'm prepared just in case.

Anyway, thanks to Kat for once again managing to tear down a rumor before it takes on a life of its own. Now we know people are actually inventing elaborate tales on the net now to mislead everybody. I've never understood why people do that other than taking some sadistic joy in seeing people confused. I mean look at what we heard about a 'ILY' vid: Diane Martel as director, a specific plot in mind from Kat--and even coming from a website that's supposedly halfway legit. This doesn't bode well for Kat rumoring in the future...so everybody has to be on guard from now on. The bigger Kat gets as a celebrity, the more of that we'll be seeing around various boards.

The good news is many of our thoughts that Kat has A LOT of great material at her disposal now held true. She obviously overflowethed in getting good songs formulated...apparently by her own doing. When this album succeeds, a lot of credit will go to her for taking it in new directions while still managing to find good songs from the reported scrapheap.

Kat's surprise has turned into a surprise before we even see the surprise. Here I was certain that the Walmart material was the surprise--and she just hadn't gotten around to tell us. Well, I guess I go back to my assumption that it's going to be maybe one or two holidays songs we'll get to play through the rest of the holidays. Perhaps they'll be free and available to download into people's iPods for free too. That really would be a great surprise for the fans.

I sense the surprise is something more personal (and free for the fans) as a real method of thanks from Kat for everybody's support. No matter what it is, though, I'm sure we'll all love it. The fact that we heard she possibly recorded 'O Come All Ye Faithful' tells me it could be holiday music. That Katiegasm person on TVgasm perhaps blew the surprise by saying it'd be released in a few days. Leave it to TVgasm for screwing up something.

Here's hoping Kat will keep this rumor-busting process going through her entire career. It'll help wash away rumors and misinformation so much easier than waiting for a publicist to do it for her.
