I know I am taking a huge chance and saying Katharine McPhee should sing something acapella like Bo Bice did last year.

 

I was hoping that Katharine would sing "God Bless The Child".

what is the like type of songs tomorrow?!?! cuz once chris was voted off i seriously screamed and ran out the door so idk if they said what the songs r about next week lol

The one thing about next week. Clive Davis will be sitting in with Randy, Paula and Simon next week,as a guest judge.

1 song picked by Clive Davis for the final 3, (Katharine, Taylor and Elliot)
Randy, Paula and Simon will pick a song for the final 3 (Katharine, Taylor and Elliott)
and Katharine, Taylor and Elliot will pick a song of their choice.

In fact, tomorrow, I think, Taylor and Elliot will be heading home to Birmingham, Alabama and Richmond, Virginia, and Katharine gets to stay home in Sherman Oaks.

Kat shines her very best on songs she knows well and has performed many times before, like "Come Rain or Come Shine". Since I'm not privy to her reportiore, it  wouuld be difficult to guess. That said William, I'd absolutely love to hear her sing something accapello- a repeat of her audition "God Bless the Child" would be perfect.

Kat needs to work in her range.. she does wonders with middle to low keys and will kill the competition with a strong R & B song. This week was meant to shake it up.. how many female vocalists could come close to working an Elvis tune??? Katherine was at a disavantage, but will win American Idol!

I hope she chooses one fast-paced song...one well-know ballad and one relatively obscure song that she likes and performs with the kind of intimate touch that Tommy Motolla was hinting at. Whatever she does she's got to absolutely nail it.

I worry somewhat on which song the judges will chose for Kat...I wouldn't trust Simon to pick it...he was not happy that Kat stayed and Chris went home.

It would be best if she chose a classic song like "Someone to Watch Over Me". That was her best week. Rod Stewart said that she was born to sing the classics, and he was definitely right about that!

hhmm... considering how it had been done since the first season, "one song of kat's choice" means the song that kat did the best during her time on american idol. i might be wrong though, there s a good chance it actually means she can pick any song she likes...

just back from TWoP forum guys, there are a lot of kat boo-ing happening there, so lets just play it cool, k?? all we need to do now is figure out a way to superpowervote kat since considering what happened this week would likely swift all chris's fans to powervote for elliott (they believe kat is the new jasmine/nikki/ whatever).

if i can say something considering how the change in trend had been done, a more likely possibility is to outvote taylor since if i'm not wrong i saw everything is working towards elliott's favour.

having said that, i came to a second thought, how on earth will i know whether taylor is going to be on the first position or second... so lets just PUSH KAT TO THE TOP POSITION next week. second won't do it people, second won't do it.
*this seems like a crazy conclusion to me and i'm sure ppl already knew it before me. but wt... i'm still going to do it.
