I don't like the songs in the beginning, but I really like the ones in the middle-Give me Tonight, Just to Feel That Way, The Maze, and Places I've been..They have more of a modern sound without being cheesy like The Runaround, Heaven Knows or Dream Myself Awake and the like...

I'm not feeling the bastardized version of Soul Thing. The original instrumentation was MUCH better in my opinion.

And that's pretty much it. I love those four songs I mentioned but nothing else. I like it better than Chris and Kellie's, but I don't know if I'll be buying it...

"I think it was the summertime when I laid eyes on you. I didn't even know your name...The boy you never wanted just steals your heart..."--Kat McPhee, Love Story

"4 walls and no you. The silence in this room is so loud...wow"--Kat McPhee, I Lost You

"I didn't see the crash that burnt the bridge, didn't see the missile that sank my loveship down..."--Kat McPhee, Dangerous

"Wanting you to be wanting me, no that ain't no way to be...You never were a friend of mine..."--Kat McPhee, Over It

"No more lonely nights to hurt me, no more tears left to spare, no more reasons to be unhappy. You threw them all up in the air..."--Kat McPhee, Each Other

"Your pedicure, white-tipped French. Your legs don't make no sense...Shoes like these make me hate flats..."--Kat McPhee, Open Toes

I tried to listen to it and got through the first 3 and had to quit! cheesy music it is for sure and glad I get to keep my money (even though I would have never would have bought it anyway) so yeah... it will be interesting to see what his album does sales wise! I think Kellie Picklers is much better than Taylors, and I didnt even think I was gonna like Kellie but I do

okay and Im done...haha.

First of all, I'm not a Taylor fan. I didn't really enjoy most of the stuff on the internet, BUT I just saw him on Regis and Kelly. He did "Runaround" and it was VERY good. Taylor is an excellent performer and you really have to SEE him peform these songs before you can appreciate him. I agree that the album is better than  Chris' and not Kellie's, but the best is yet to come....

I partially agree with zzyzx in that Taylor is AMAZING when he performs... however, he won't do well with his CD's because you can't watch him on a CD or through the radio, and his voice itself is sub par. Now, I gotta say that I disagree that Tay's will be better than Chris'... I might be bias because I've been a Chris fan from the start, but seriously, his album in out of this world! Kat's will be too, I have no doubt...

I see Taylor's first week sales to be high due to his fans purchasing his CD but the next week it will fall off like Chris' CD.

I agree Taylor needs to be seen to appreciate this music.

I also really like the song "Gonna Move"

I'll pass, Taylor is a better live performer than trying to listen to him on a CD......

I think I'll pass too. I heard Runaround and I just don't get him at all. I still can't believe he won! lol. I have Kellies CD and it is much much better than I expected. I don't really like Chris's style much and Tayloe nah. I love blue eyed soul but to be perfectly honest he just isn't that good a singer.

I just had a listen to all the tracks and surprisingly, it was great. Save for some cheesy verses on some songs, I am pleasantly surprised that Taylor was given a bit of a space to spread his creative muscles and it really showed in this album. I cannot wait 'til he has full control in his albums in the future. In the meantime, I'll be buying the album, most def.

I agree that just listening to Taylor's effort is not impressive. Unfortunately, listening is what you have to do to appreciate music. Chris appeals to alot of people's appreciation of eclectic tastes as does Kellie, but Taylor IMO is pushing the envelope calling his music "soul". They have saved the best for last. Katharine will demonstrate true blue-eyed soul and the CD is bound to be eclectic enough to attract a Streisand/Dion/Houston audience as well.

I did buy Chris' and Kellie's albums and, of course, so far, 3 of Katharine's, but saving my money on Taylor's.

Taylor's first week sales will still be high because of her fans, but he definitely needs to be seen to appreciate.

I love it. The first time I heard it I was like, well,I think Kellie will out sell him. The more I listen to it the more I love it. I really like "The Runaround","Dream Myself Awake","Heaven Knows","Give Me Tonight",and "The Right Place". Those are just the ones I listen to most often. I really love them all.
