PROMOTION TIPS

Here are some suggestions to help you promote Katharine’s single if it’s not played in your area. Any other suggestions are welcomed.

• Pass out some flyers in your local area so potential fans can see information on her and that she has a CD single out.

• For example: Print out flyers with Kat's picture and ask music store manager if he/she would let you place a few of the flyers near the checkout area or in another area with they have other artist flyers.

• Place flyers in between pages of free local entertainment media news that are in racks around your city area.

• Tape a flyer to the side window of your car.

• Donate her CDs to charities (many fans are doing this now - there is a recent charity project organizing by the other Kat street team called "My Destiny's St Jude Kids Hospital project).

• Tell your family, relatives and friends about Kat’s single, and play her songs in a large group of peeps. Let them hear it so they get the McPheever and want more.

• At your local music store, ask the staff politely if they could play Katharine's songs on the store radio. A lot of people browsing music and books might either be unaware of Kat, the release of her single, or might just "forget" to pick up her single. Hearing it play in the store is a great "alert".  And try Border's! They would play her single at the store.

• Go to radio-locator.com, select your area, and get a list of radio stations in your area with all kinds of info on their format and contact information. Email them or call them and request that they play My Destiny on the Top 40 stations and OTR on the Adult Contemporary or Hot AC stations. If you really are a listener of that particular station, let them know. if not, you could be!

• Go to amazon.com, search for Katharine McPhee, and write a positive review of the CD, giving it as high a rating as you feel comfortable with.

You're very welcome.  I don't know why, but I'm always a little startled when I see my "name" on a thread.  Hey, that's MEEEE!!

Another tip... anybody who has their own business or who knows people who have their own business... I think it would really help to play Kat's songs on their P.A. system or whatever type of speaker system they have (even a portable CD player).  Even small businesses have "people traffic", and we want to use every possible means to get Kat's music heard. 
"Haha! I love your comments. You just wait there will be more of Kat in Glasses! ha! I love the pic of Nena in glasses. DID you do that? Clever is so! XX kat"
