Kellie Pickler to Appear on Tonight Show, Ellen

Kellie Pickler will appear on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and The Ellen Degeneres Show this week. As a correspondent for The Tonight Show, she visited several locations in Manhattan, including Chinatown, Rockefeller Center and took her first subway ride. The segment will air Thursday (Dec. 14). She will perform "Red High Heels" on Ellen on Friday (Dec. 15), with a special gift for the sneaker-wearing host. Pickler's album, Small Town Girl, is nearing gold status.

^^^^  Per CMT Online click here  .  Kellie I'm sure will be her typical riot-self on this Leno segment, I'm so happy for her getting this gig.    She'll probably also be great on Ellen too . . .  I love the Season 5 Idols - all of them have amazing auras and such great energy.

I saw the Kellie segment tonight on Leno--and was classic Kellie all the way. She also ran into Taylor at one point outside that NYC store (F.A.O. Schwartz?)--and he just HAD to do that "Leno as my lost father" schtick. Enough of that already, Tay and Jay.

While I don't personally love comedy where the person plays dumb...there's something about how Kellie does it that makes it almost an art form and enjoyable. Maybe it's because I realize she really isn't that dumb and it's more or less an act. That thing with the foreign languages on the streets was hilarious...and the people being easily approachable to her made it even better. Seeing people so open to someone with a microphone on the streets of NYC isn't something very common.

And I think Kellie's gift idea of pizza just helped me make a decision for someone this week...

Anyway, seeing that cameo from Taylor made me expect Katharine to turn up any minute. After all, Kat was probably in NYC around the same time (maybe) and would have made a great surprise if good setup to Kat's eventual appearance on Leno. Having Kellie "bump" into Taylor just seemed too set up by the Leno camp...and gives you suspicions there's a Taylor bias on Leno's show. Hopefully Kat can win them over when she finally gets on there.

After this bit with Kellie...I think her possible sitcom will go well. She keeps you entertained every second despite the dumb antics.

Here's a performance of Kellie's "A Very Pickler Christmas"  - she did great and was hysterical, and she's so good at this type of stuff! Omg, I love her!!  Also, I think the Jay and TayTay - Father/Son thing is cute, it's a bonding thing for them.

Thanks for this Co, Kellie is just adorable, a natural for this. I agree that her talked about tv show should do well.  And I gotta ask, doesn't that striped short dress she's wearing in the beginning look familiar!!!
