I was just wonderering if everyone else has the McFever as bad as I do. Here's my story:

I get up in the morning, and the first thing I do is go to the computer and check the board. Then I get a bowel of cereal and read and/or post while eating breakfast. Then I have an hour drive to work, so I go into temporary Kat withdrawal. When I get to my desk, I check the board again before I check my email. All day long I peek at the board and post when noone's looking. I may or may not gett any work done, depending upon whether it's Tuesday (too nervous), Wednesday (too scared) or a non-AI day. Then it's back into the car again for another hour of depravation. I get home, check the board, eat dinner while reading Kat news, then settle in for a night of posting and surfing the net for anything Kat. I usually can pull myself away from my computer around 1am for bed. Bear in mind that I'm not online ALL the time, I also spend a copious amount of time replaying Kat HD video clips and listening to Kat mp3s. My poor wife thinks I'm crazy, and it's a good thing she's not the jealous type. Even my 15 year old daughter has trouble understanding my Kat addiction. And I haven't even gotten into how physically sick I've been feeling leading up the shows. My anxiety starts on Friday (I have a one day reprieve on Thursday), and builds to a cresendo on Tuesday evening, which turns to a forboding dread until Ryan declares Kat safe on Wednesday night. Good thing there's only 3 weeks left, I don't know how long I could keep this up before keeling over or getting fired!(or divorced!)

I've got it pretty bad too b. Spending all my time on the boards, even at work. Watching Kat's videos and listening to her mp3's over and over. My computer is cluttered with everything Katharine. I even sent in a postcard which is something I was sure I would never be compelled to do. But the worst part is the anxiety of Tuesday and Wednesday. I barely survived last week and I'm sure it's only going to get worse in the coming weeks. When I found out Kat was safe I was truly overjoyed. Watching Katharine go through this competition brings me tremendous joy, but I get really sad when I think about the end, win or lose. How will I go on with out my weekly Kat fix?

I have a housemate who initially started watching AI and casually said one night, "I like Ace, Chris, and that pretty dark-haired girl. Take a look and tell me what you think." I did and the rest is history. As time went by, we were both in the KatKamp, but we still share one on-line computer and one phone line. I had to compromise: if I would give up the phone line and computer for the first hour, which seems to be a good time for Texas Hold 'Em, I could have everything during the second hour. That kind of worked, because the only times I've been able to get through with any consistency are two minutes before 9, and from 10-11, so that was a lost hour anyway. Nevertheless, I took a bit of flack for sitting there hitting redial for a solid hour. Then today I was informed that this same person decided not to take a night class meeting on Tuesday nights because, well, that's Idol Night! I managed not to laugh. After all, we're still sharing the electronics. And the house. And I'm a lot braver on line than I am in person.

Well, i am somewhat obsessed but not really. I really like Kat and her style of singing. I got her pegged from her audition in San Francisco. I am usually always online to read about her but it is not too much of an obsession. However, last year I was like Bill about Constantine. Today, my laptop puter is still full of Constantine pictures. I have a collection of all of his contraband video clips from concerts that he has had. I have an entire collection of Constantine AI performance on video and I have a recording of his ai performances on a cd that I listen to over and over again in my car. I also belong to every constantine fansite there is. When Constantine is on tv, my husband says that he's lost me forever. When I go online to read up on Constantine, I could be there for hours. He will im me from the bedroom to get my attention. The week that Constantine came to Sacramento for a morning radio program Christmas show was the same week that he appeared on Regis and Kelly and I was just going crazy all week because I get to go watch him at the Christmas show live. My 18 year old son asked my husband what happened to me? My husband said, "son, we lost her again this week because it is Constantine week".
