Thanks for the way too short clip of "Real Love". We need the long version to fully appreciate it. Randy Jackson has dubbed them, "amazing singers." (we knew that already) I'm hopeful that the song will amazing too!!

The original source of this lower quality complete song was from a blind Rate the Music test of this and the Joss Stone track Just Walk On By from Randy's CD. Also some other folks have said they have been asked to rate it as well so if you are a member of Rate The Music go check and see if it's there. I listened to the complete version and wow, that is amazing. Great to hear Kat and Elliott. I actually like it. It's not vocal-blending kind of duet, but succession of turns and adlib mixes. I guess nobody does that kind of duet anymore, but it's decent enough to be called a duet. Kat's voice is really high in some parts of this song. I could almost never have guessed it correctly if I didn't know about her duet with Elliott. But Elliott is his natural voice. Well, it's "current", I guess, and relevant for the present pop culture. It should work. Thanks to Randy Jackson. Thanks for posting. Finally, we have something of Kat's. It's very invigorating!!

Also, from the comment I made about the blending of the voices, I just remembered that I only have one speaker that works on my computer and it's not that great anyway...just call me a computer genius!!

I think they sound good together. Great to see the two best vocalists of season 5 doing a tune together. Kat sounds great but wish I heard her more. Seem like Elliot takes over the song towards the end. Yes she is doing some of her runs but they seem more like backgrounds to his more "front and center" stuff. Would have been cool if they switched that up at the end where she took "front and center" for a bit. Also, I have read where some think the song is boring. I would have to agree that in general the song is a bit boring. Starts great all the way through the middle eight section but then it just runs on and on. The song could really use another two versus after the middle eight section and less "real love" and runs toward the end. The Ne-yo version does the same thing so that was the way the song was written. Just way too repetitive IMHO. But Kat sounds great and it is good to hear her again on something new.
BTW - Fun to see all of you again. Hope everyone is well.
