so ive heard about the infamous "santa baby" kat performed w/adrianna at notre dame high school, on KROQ... does anyone have any links that i could find a video, or the audio? I'd love to hear it!! the interview that bean, ralph and kevin did with her was so funny!!!  Please help!

That would be a dream video. You all find a decent video of that Santa Baby performance and I nominate you for the postition of the honorary KMF video hound for life.

And your next assignment will be looking for full vids of the Ed McMahon talent show with Kat on them.

The caller into the KROQ radio show said it was so hot that every male (students and faculty both) found it, shall we say, rousing. The powers that be at the high school pulled the plug on it, according to Kat, in that interview, because it was too HOT!

Yeah, that's a funny part of the radio interview when Katharine says that "they didn't let us do it again because they got all Catholic on us" or something like that.  I can just imagine...although she was probably only 15 or 16 at the time given she did this with Adriana...hmm, naughty us.

This thread has just brought back my longstanding desire to see the video of that 'Santa Baby' performance. I've been bringing that up constantly in posts ever since Kat's mention of it on that KROQ interview. But, after a while, you figure the tape was probably buried by NDHS's staff...which means you might want to take a shovel with you and start digging around their grounds to locate it.

Yes, Kat made a mention that the staff at the school got a little hot under the collar when she and Adriana performed it. Most Catholic schools probably think that something a little more sensual would bring on waves of the in the student body--so I'm not surprised they banned it. But I'm sure Kat and Adriana didn't  go overboard in their performance. After all, the song itself has lyrics that can make you need a cold shower anyway. Lines such as "Santa cutie, and fill my stocking with a duplex and checks. Sign your x on the line..." coming from two beautiful girls is just asking for problems in a staid school. All Kat and Adriana had to do was just stand there and sing it--and you have a sensual performance that needs nothing else.

But, if nothing else, I hope Kat and Adriana reunite and put that on the KROQ Christmas album. From what we heard, Kat and Adriana were actually a very popular singing team at NDHS and did a lot of singing together on other things. That's made me curious how alike they sound and how well they blend. As far as I know, we have no record of Adriana singing despite her working in some stage musicals at one time. It'd be interesting to see how alike their vocal timbres are--considering Kat's vocal timbre is one of the most beautiful of the century. If Adriana's is just as pure, they both could do a duet together at least once. It seems, though, that they want to keep their careers separated as much as possible, which is quite smart. It doesn't sound like Adriana really wants to get into a singing career at all.

Kat actually doesn't have to do anything to bring out the in the student body at NDHS. As we witnessed at the homecoming--she went out into the crowd of those teenage boys and almost made them spontaneously combust in the process. The picture of that overexcited kid to her right in the audience shot at NDHS is still one of my favourite pictures that makes me laugh every time I see it.

underwoodfan- you would do that? can you do that? i heard somewhere that there was indeed a video of it out there... which makes me crazyy!! i wanna see it, we should all just try everything we can to find it!! and as of now, i am late for work.... hehe i know when i get home, ill be lookin for it!

Don't forget, she promised Ralph that she would do SB for the KROQ Christmas Album. Given that Ralph has a raging McPheever of 115, its unlikely that he would EVER forget.

I MIGHT! As far as i know, they do have video logs of stuff like that, so i was thinking, what the heck, might as well ask! And, apparently I know that guy at the front office and I can just drop a few names!

u.f. - oh man you should so try and get in w/the ppl at NDHS!!! if it comes to it, bribe them!! hehe i'd so go there if i lived even remotely close, but seeing is how i like in MA, that may pose a problem! hehe -kat better live up to her word on that x-mas album!!! i dont know what i'd do...i think the whole prospect of kat being in highschool and at a talent show singing "santa baby" -appeals to me more than a recording... but of course ill take anything i can get!!!
