Not sure if anyone's posted something about this already but....I think I just watched the episode of "Entourage" that Katharine auditioned for. I think. It sure looked like the part that was described in Teen People. And the woman who played the part of Nicole sorta, kinda looked like a less attractive version of Katharine. The actresses name is Lindsay Sloane. Here's her IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005441/ The basic overview of the part goes a little like this...Vince (the movie star lead guy) meets this girl named Nicole at a bookstore (funny given our "hot librarian" pics lately)...he spends the day with her...they have a couple of flings (one in a dressing room, one in a hotel...you don't see anything other than the initial kissing)...they have lunch...we find out Nicole's getting married soon but that it was OK because her and her fiance have a "celebrity list" of people that it is OK to mess around with. That's basically it. Katharine would have been on screen for about 3-4 minutes...so there you go. If you want to check it out, the reruns are on HBO all week, the episode is called "I Wanna Be Sedated".

i just checked it out. no way she compares to kat. plus she's like 10 yrs older! LOL. but anyway, i'd rather that kat didn't get the part...it's beneath her. haha!

i'm actually glad kat didn't play that part. I'm a HUGE entourage fan...all my friends go out to dinner every sunday night, then go back to my house and watch the show (we're dorks) but i was disappointed with that epidosde and did NOT like the character kat would have played. even my sister was like, "Ew that girl is so trashy." definitely not one of entourage's best moments.

Yeah, I was pretty good with it initially. When she meets him in the bookstore...OK...and maybe this is me being like over-protective of my favorite girl but...the scene in the dressing room when you see a little something from the side before the curtain closes. I thought "Hmm, I wonder if Katharine would have been OK with that." I know it is acting but she doesn't present herself that way...and I'm not sure that she'd want her first time on a TV show to include a sliver of nudity... It was still interesting to watch though because that had to be the part from the description. I've seen every "Entourage" episode and I've been on the lookout for something that fits that description and I'm pretty sure this was it.

From the initial outset, it sounded like it'd be a great thing for her to do. But once the details started coming in--I'm also glad she didn't take the part. While playing a trashy character sometimes works for some actresses who want to get ahead quickly in the business, I assume most of us don't want to see Kat play a character like that as her first acting gig. She needs a good part with some level of dignity--and more than 3 or 4 minutes of screen time. Then again, there can be some memorable scenes done in 3 or 4 minutes...if the writing is up to snuff. I've never watched 'Entourage'--though it's high-profile enough where you wish Kat could act in something similar. Actually, doing an acting role on one of the regular network shows such as one of the 118 'Law & Order' spinoffs--or even one of the medical dramas (sure, 'ER' still packs a wallop)-- would be better. They'd give her more than 3 or 4 minutes of screen time there too--because she's not battling out face time with bigger stars. Of course, those regular network shows are mainly intense drama. It'd be nice to see her in a comedy first so people can finally get it through their heads that Kat's a great comedienne. If only there was some kind of zany show on where she could be as weird and hilarious as she wanted. I guess the only place for that on the regular networks is Conan O'Brien...where she'd just get to play herself...which is the best possible part anyway.

Yeah, in retrospect...I'm kinda glad she didn't get that. I saw Katharine in "People" magazine this week (talking about her foot)....and there's a picture of Jennifer Garner on the same page and I thought...you know...they could be sisters. Too bad "Alias" isn't on anymore...I can just imagine Katharine on there as Sydney Bristow's sister...she could go running around, doing spy things, beating people up....good training for this "Wonder Woman" thing you all keep talking about. Now that would be a fun kind of role for Katharine. Being beautiful, powerful and fun all at the same time.

I agree, I don't think that part was in Kat's best interest

Lindsey was in Sabrina and another show I watched. Grosse Pointe or something. I'm glad Kat didn't do Entourage because I don't have cable and wouldn't be able to see it! Plus, she probably was on vocal rest at that point.
