Taylor Hicks Signs Endorsement DealBirmingham - Clueless Press International Not to be outdone by runner-up Katharine McPhee, American Idol king Taylor Hicks today inked an endorsement deal with Huge Enormous Hair! (HEH!). The company, long a stalwart in the hair products industry, has until now produced products exclusively for women. "We felt this was an incredible opportunity for an Alabama corporation. The hometowm boy makes good image of Mr. Hicks will give the new products a credibilty factor that should guarantee a solid introduction into the competitive market of men's hair products, " said company president Ida Staidholm. "Initially we will introduce two products; Gray-To-Go for young men seeking an older, more sophisticated look, and Gray-No-Way for older men looking to maintain the look of youth. The women's products will continue to be sold exclusively through beauty shops, and the men's products will now enjoy that same status in the barbershops throughout the Southeast."
Mr. Hicks was unavailable due to his inability to obtain a sidetrip release from the American Idol tour management team.
The announcement was made at the corporate offices in rural settings south of Birmingham. The turnout for the announcement was smaller than expected due to Mr. Hicks' absence and many members of the press becoming lost. But this reporter, having been born and raised in nearby Mississippi, had no trouble following the directions provided by the corporate press office.
