I hope it's not true that Kat is not joining the girls in their medley number. I thought this medley was a highlight from the finale show!

I think Kat ruled on the Finale show gals medley, but I also know that if she hurts her vocal cords again she is likely done for the tour. So keeping that in mind, I think she ought to stick with a couple of songs for a while until she can belt a little bit because I know Mandisa and others aren't going to hold back so Kat can be heard.

My timetable would look like this:

Two gently sung songs for the first week or so, picking up the intensity as the ol' throat allows. 

Some kind of quiet duet added singing with Taylor when she feels up to it. 

And then add in the girls medley and additional solos as her voice dictates.

IMO,  My Destiny, sung the way it is supposed to be sung, is absolutely the last thing she should try.  That song turns into a bit of a screamfest about halfway through.  And I know that a lot people want to hear it really badly too, because it is on her single.

Just having her perform at all really adds to the appeal of the Idol Tour. And even the Kat haters will  be glad to have her there to further annoy them and gossip about the day after.  LOL!

I loved the girls medley on the Finale night and would love love love to see Kat do it full time during the concert.

However, if Taylor doesn't perform in the guys medley, there may be a reason why Kat doesn't sing in with the ladies... though I don't know why they don't let both of them just sing with their respective groups?

I think the Top 2 don't perform in the medlies because they haven't been introduced on stage yet, while the others have. Instead of having Kat and Taylor hit the stage for the first time during the medlies, they both have the honor of getting their attention, alone.

But I wish she would join them because they need her, whereas the guys could do it without Taylor. They rocked the finale without him!!

when i was at the AC concert- i dont remember seeing taylor in the guy medley. so i dont think that the top 2 join. but i could be wrong!

I really want the next thing added to be a duet with Taylor. The show really needs a top 2 duet.

The other two songs of the four originally planned for her are almost certainly Think and My Destiny, both of which require more vocal exertion than the two she is doing now.

I'm guessing she'll want to have the whole thing worked in by her "hometown" shows in southern CA. That gives her a month.

But with all the other idols singing duets, it's only right that a Kaylor McHicks duet be added at some point. Just IMO.

No, zembla, if that was the case it's surely been changed now. Chris's duet is with Elliott, and is apparently one of the highlights of the tour. If she does get a duet, it will likely be with Taylor, and that's as it should be. Pure speculation, but what I think should happen is Kat finishes her set, then goes off, Taylor makes his now-familiar Jailhouse Rock entrance, and sometime during his set he calls her back for the duet.

I really love the way they sound together (LOVED "Time of My Life") and I want that Kaylor McHicks duet. So I hope--sincerely--that it's added.

Again, My Destiny and Think are also speculative, but I really think that those are the most likely additions to her set simply because recorded versions exist.

She did talk about dueting with Chris on tour, I doubt his duet will be droped with Elliott, it may just be incorporated into her set. I highly doubt My Destiny will be anywhere near her set...I didn't think Black Horse would be either due to KT being on tour with it, but...we'll see what happens over the next couple weeks. But I agree I think she and Tay have good stage chemistry...I hear they're dueting on 'Hollywood Nights.'

I loved the girls medley because Kat's voice wouldn't have to carry the whole song(sung when she's ready of course).

I see a duet with Taylor, more than with Chris if they're concern with managing her voice. 

What about a song with the guys. Remember the guys had sung "Patience"  as a tribute to her!  How about the guys singing  with Kat, like Elvis' "Can't Falling in Love With You" one of her songs in the competition; it wouldn't strain her voice. BTW, Bocelli received loud applause when he sang this as an encore at one of the shows with Kat!
