I just discovered that Katharine has a site on the Internet Movie Database (imdb.com). since I hang around over there a lot anyway, naturally I had to investigate, and found that, as usual, there were people praising her to high heavens and others acting like she was the wicked witch of the west or something. The imdb is a weird place, it seems to bring out the absolute worst in some people who love to hide behind the anonymity of a screen name and just rag hell out of people. Sometimes they just like to stir up the fans because they enjoy it. But whatever, THAT SITE BOASTS 30 MILLION HITS A MONTH! Tell me that's not a lot of people reading and talking, and the Movers and Shakers are there as well as us fans. I  love to get into discussions, and when the "trolls" light into somebody I like, I just sharpen up my tongue and carve them up. I also post as much positive stuff as possible. It's all fun. FYI, I never get obscene or totally beyond the pale, but I do like to bite butts when somebody disrespects someone I admire.

My point is, that's one more place to generate interest in Katharine, or whip up the interest that's already there, or whatever. It's a huge, busy site, and since I spend a lot of time there anyway, I plan to drop by the McPhee discussion boards daily to see what's going on. All you have to do is register to be able to post. See ya there. Look for Groucho.

I forgot to mention, the imdb keeps track of hits on various sites and rates performers accordingly. The higher the number the better, I believe (as in, #1 is not good, is you have 100,000 hits, that's good). You can only keep track of this if you've registered for imdbPro, which I have not, but the more the merrier. It would look really good if she hadn't been there very long and had a tremendous number of hits on her site. I don't know if this is cumulative from inception to infinity or what. Maybe it's a rating according to the number of people who have imdb sites. But, the more the merrier, however they do it. It would look good if a lot of us started visiting her site.

groucho...good thing we have you there to be her shining armour...and yes I agree, its is one of the biggest site out there and it is good exposure (If its positive) things could get rough there... keep spreading McPheever man! but i will drop by (must find my username & password) lol

And all you other McPhans, if you're show biz buffs, the imdb is always worth checking out for whatever reason. They have fan reviews of any movie you can think of, tons of info about movies, actors/actresses/directors, etc. And if you like to chat, there are forums for everything under the sun. I didn't realize Katharine had a board there until somebody here kind ofmentioned it in passing, so I hopped over and got into the fray right away.

Groucho...I went to the site..not sure I found Kat's 'site' you mentioned...I drilled down on some AI message boards and found scattered threads talking about Kat...is that what you were referring to, or is there a more consolidated place that is dedicated exclusively to Kat...

For what it's worth...'posters' there seem quite young...like you said, a lot of love/hate....'Bucky sucks'; 'Ace sucks'...'No he doesn't...' kind of traffic...not a lot of substance from what I observed ,in short time I spent reviewing the boards...we should send Jaded (young poster who contributes to this site) over there to give an on-line seminar on 'How To Express Your Thoughts In An Intelligent Manner'. 

The Kat fans there are predictably impressed with her looks, voice and just about everything else...a lot seem to want her to do more exciting songs and be more animated...and the detractors sling the usual trash.

Haha. I think that course should be a requirement! =p Especially if I can teach it. Haha. That's why I like this board so much. People actually have things to say that contain a little substance. =) I know I'm younger than most of ya'll, but I can't stand chatting with 90% of the people my age online. They make themselves look so stuuuupid. =) The AI boards are the same way. Blogs with lots of big, bright fonts and terribly immature posts on their favorites. Blah blah blah. =) I'll just stick to chatting with ya'll here. =)

No, Katharine has her own site. If you go to the search cell and just type in Katharine McPhee, it gakes you right to it. Some of it is just guys breathing hard and trolls trying to ruffle PhanFeathers, etc. But you never know who's reading what or what it will take to give somebody an idea. I would never have just sat down and watched AI until somebody else had the tv on first and I decided to sit down and watch. And Katharine walked out and started singing and I said Omigod who's that? and there I went. You just never know.... they should carve that on my tombstone. A lot of the time I just react to what's already there. Some of you idea guys should go over there and try to stimulate some intelligent discussion.

I agree with Jaded....I lurked around a lot of other Kat sites none of them compare to what's here because almost everyone here has something substantial to say and it is worth reading. But there is balance too because sometimes some of you guys are funny when you obviously drool over Kat (I don't blame you a bit cuz I drooled and drooled over Constantine and I still drool over him). So, this is, overall a fun site to be.

Good that some of you are out there generating "Chat for Kat". We need the buzz going. That's what keeps her on the limelight and hopefully more votes.

Just don't drool on your phone. That's one of the differences over here. We drool AND vote. In fact I left an imdb post inviting anyone visiting the site to please vote, if they were interested enough to visit her site in the first place.

Just a reminder that the imdb.com (Internet Movie Database) is a HUGE site claiming more than 30 million hits a month. They don't all post, but they look. This could be a good place to generate interest in Katharine after she and AI have parted company in whatever fashion. It has info on all sorts of movie and tv appearances, listed by show, by individual actors, etc. and is a great source of info if the celeb keeps it updated.

If you can stand the guff, it's a good place to chat, but I admit, sometimes it comes down so hard you need a hat over there. I just hate to see negative posts stand unanswered. All you have to do is register, type Katharine's name in the search cel, and when you get to her site, scroll down to the bottom to the chat boards and start talking.
