As those of you know who've read my previous posts, you all know that my thoughts on Katharine McPhee are mostly accumulated whilst I sit and stroke my cat Vanna. Well a couple nights ago, I had one that I felt I couldn't articulate. After many hours of molding, a few more of editing, and a "read-aloud" for Vanna, I've decided that this is the best work I can produce.

Does anybody here listen to Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Johnny Mathis, or Nat "King" Cole? My guess is that most of you have heard of these greats, some of you listen to them, a select few of you actually love these artists.
I  listen to Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin, and I enjoy listening to them. And when I first picked up a Sinatra record, I was encouraged to buy it because my mom was talking about how when she was a kid, Sinatra was the thing that her mom listened to. My mom was a "Moody Blues" fan as a kid, she didn't like Sinatra, but my grandmother did.

Sinatra was in the 40's and 50's, as much of a star as Katharine McPhee is now. We are all chronically stricken with Kat. She is gorgeous, ethereal, and a magnificent singer. She will always be that to us! No matter how long we all live, we will remember Katharine McPhee as our obsession.

I'm young, not old enough to be married, have a girlfriend, or even drive. But someday, I'll have my closet filled with Kat albums, and my kids will see them. They'll pick 'em up when they're younger, but as soon as they turn into teenagers, they'll have their own idols. And Katharine McPhee will be forgotten by the next generation.

But there is still hope(kat's middle name, how fitting). There will be odd ones like me, that will pick up Kat's albums, and love them, in the same way that I love Sinatra. Cycles like this will continue to recur, and though the majority of people will not even know who Katharine is in 100 years. But there will be fans.

No matter how long it is before Kat is entirely forgotten by the main stream, she will never, ever, loose the impact she has had on our lives. My love for Katharine has increased my convictions to follow God. If you look at that, and see that sometime in the future I raise my children to be followers of God. For generations, Katharine's effect will be felt.
There are people that will audition for  a talent contest, and succeed, and be the next Katharine McPhee for the next generation...all because Kat inspired them.

A huge pay-it-forward chain that will go on for generations, and generations! I just want to have this thread be one thing too, let's just all thank Kat. And once we've thanked her, we should change. Change in a way that will spread the Katharine Effect. I've called it free falling before. But now it seems like a huge race to run, and we're all helping each other.

I never realized it before, but Katharine has effected my life more than I ever even knew. How has she changed you?

Final Note: This will be my last post on KMF. Due to the order of my parents, I will be unregistering from KMF, and by doing that, I'll be ex-communicato on this site. I still have an email address that y'all can email. It's savethenoodles@gmail.com.
It's been a pleasure to post here, and an even greater one getting to know you all. I'd appreciate emails, cause I still run an email list of my essays. Thanks to you all, and God Bless You!

Jesse,

I'm sorry that you can't be with us anymore. I truly enjoy reading your very personal thoughts about Katharine and how she has affected your life.  For one who seems so young, you have a great start on life. You don't just run off, you think about things before you commit.

I for one will miss you. Your feedback on my posts has always been inspiring and I'll miss not being able to read them.

My email is active, so if you want you can add it to your address book and say hello once in a while.

All the best to you, my friend.

Don

Katharine's summer is full of hope, full of potential, and promises to provide many bouquets to grace the home that I call my heart.

Jesse,

I'm happy when I read your best production, but turned into sadness when seeing your final note. Honestly, I did not know you're such a young age McPhan. Your previous writings never indicated that in any ways. Of course, I'm shocked to hear from your departure and could not understand what the cause is. I only noticed that you have changed your username quite a few times, if that's something related or led to your (or your parents') decision. My hope that this is just a break for you and we will see you back in the near future. And most importantly, even though you're not posting, I hope your enthusiasm and love toward Katharine will never cease. I also remember you've said that you share a lot of my opinion and viewpoints. Now I'm losing my biggest supporter when I voice my opinion in the future. I'm also a born-again Christian as you already knew, and I'll definitely keep you in my prayer. All the best to you in the future, brother! Take care and be back soon.
