Nice story--and you can only imagine what the post office employees were thinking when they saw Kat's writing (and a 'hehe!') on the envelope. Then again, some post office employees probably don't even know who she is yet, unfortunately. I even had Target employees who didn't know in June. But it won't be much longer...

A lot of us who sent letters early were told we couldn't ask for autographs, so we didn't. And then I did a very unbrilliant thing: I didn't put my address up in the right-hand corner of the letters. I only do that for true business correspondence. In fan letters, it's usually more typical to just put the date. I guess I had the assumption that the envelope with my address would be with the letter--though the envelopes may have been lost in all the chaos.

Anyway, I'm extremely happy to see people getting personal notes from Kat. These people deserve it. Kat knows the more-established fans will always be there for her and don't need something in return to keep reflecting that. I've never expected anything back anyway.

But in case Kat's reading: My apologies for not putting an address at the top right of my letters. I considered a personal letter not being a typical business correspondence.

It makes me think that Kat is having such a good time with the fan mail and such. It's great when she is resting for her to read fan mail. This woman is really something else and those that say bad things about her just don't really know who she is. Thanks for sharing this post. I love it.
