Put spaces in your posts? Don't exactly know what you mean. Can you elaborate?

Hmm.... that's interesting. Maybe next time, try pressing return twice. It should go down two spaces. Than hit submit and see what happens.

I know what the poster is referring to here. He's referring to doing a cut and paste from a Word file into the posting box--and the only way you can do that is by going into HTML mode. When you go back to the Design page, all the text formatted (with spaces) from HTML is all run together.

The only way to amend that is to refer to your original copy of the document and put in the spaces where they originally were. Obviously, a bit of a chore when you're tranferring a huge document.

This is something maybe Chad can tinker with to fix, though I don't know if it's possible. I'd rather sacrifice that over Chad's extra time tinkering and putting the Member's Online list up at the top right for better convenience.

^Where do you want the members online thing at? I thought right above the forums would work.

It's perfect where you moved it, Chad. My comment above was just a ribbing that I'd rather have you take the time to fix that than the HTML/Design cut and paste conversions. Then again, maybe it's not too late to request a fix on that HTML/Design text problem.

Having the members online list at the top right is really the best focus for the eye since that's where the eye generally gravitates based on the design of the site. The problem is, I'm still in that automatic reflex mode of scrolling quickly down to the bottom of the page to see who's online. But habits can be overcome fairly quickly with better designs.

Once again, great job on getting this site more user friendly all the time. I also like the new lavender colour scheme on the header. The light orange was nice, but the lavender gives a classier look. It also blends better with those beautiful pics of Kat at the top.

I didn't notice, though, if the orange or the lavender got on 'AH' and national television...

I just use wordpad to c&p everything.

I've heard that using Wordpad works better--but does that format with paragraph spaces in Design mode? You can't cut and paste when in Design, so that's why HTML is always what you have to click on to transfer any text.

Let me know, and I'll use Wordpad instead if it prevents me from having to space out long paragraphs from other sources.
