Hi everyone,  

Thank you again for getting me past another week. Only 7 more weeks to go! Let's see what we can do!!  

I know some of you were wondering about my middle name. It is Hope! It was the name of my great grandmother. She was an amazing woman. My great grandfather owned a gas station and he died very young, so my great grandmother, Hope, was left to raise 4 kids . She worked three jobs as a librarian, a dental assistant and a secretary, but her real love and hobby was painting and pottery. My family said she was always filled with alot of "Hope".

Thank you again so much for your support, it means the world to me.

Wow!  That was such an awesome message.  It was so great of Katharine to show her appreciation to her fans.  Katharine is going to do amazing tonight.  One of her very close friends contacted me and said that this week's theme is totally her element.  He said "this was her week to really shine!"  I can't wait for her performance.  Even tough she'll be fantastic tonight - still vote like crazy.  This is a tough competition.

I love how Kat connects with her fans... both vocally through AI, and personally through the message boards.

Her great grandmother seemed like a very nice person. I can't fathom how she was able to raise 4 kids all on her own with 3 jobs. It really just shows you how great of a family our dearest Katharine has. I really do believe that her great grandmother's hope, optimism, and love for art, were passed on to Kat... and lucky for us, Katharine is now sharing her greatness with everyone in the world.

I just found out that the Idols work/rehearse 16 hours a day for American Idol. For Katharine to have time to send messages and show us how thankful she is... I really think that's just amazing. Katharine works 16 hours/day for us... she only needs us for 2 hours/week. As what Mama McPhee said a week ago, "IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN DO IT". We can DO THIS GUYS.

I love the picture! Her eyes, her smile, and her appreciation = PRICELESS. When you think you couldn't possibly LOVE Katharine even more, she proves you wrong week after week. I couldn't be any more PROUD to be a McPhanatic, hehe. I really, really do love Katharine to death.

Nice touch...good of Kat to take the time to invigorate her fans by doing something special like that...apparently they work long (as much as 16?) hours each day preapring for the show...so for her to take what little spare time she has to acknowledge her fans is classy...that's our girl Kat !
