If you guys have been watching Access Hollywood and Rita Cosby you will have noticed something amazing! The only two 'Idols' who were clued in on Katharine's bulemia problems were Mandisa and Elliott. They not only kept her secret, but offered her moral support throughout the whole competition! So, as a McPhan, I would love to give a big hug and thank you to Mandia and Elliott! They were there for Kat when she needed it!

Yes, I love them too. I found this year's group of contestants a "breath of fresh air" in the realness they showed - humble, kindness, compassionate, support for their fellow contestants, and gratitude. When one exhibits and displays qualities like that you wish them the best in life, as they are "leading by example." It's great that we have new talent to look forward to with these characteristics.

Yes, indeed many thanks to Mandisa and Elliott for being there for Kat. They are great! Can't wait to see them on tour also. Everyone else for that matter. I totally agree with you co-all great and big hearted people.

Mandisa can probably relate to the weight problems and Elliott is just the nicest guy. I am not surprised. I am also sure that Mandisa and Kat will be reunited soon so she will have her support back and of course not to mention Elliott's friendship.

I watched both Access and the Rita segments. I saw the parts with Mandisa but I must have missed the part with Elliott. Are you sure about this? What did Elliott say?

Sorry for the confusion. The Elliott part must have been on Extra! Both he and Mandisa were interviewed together and they said that they were the only one's who Katharine had confided in and he said that she is just the sweetest girl and everyone has her back! It was sweet!

There seems to be a lot of confusion about this.  I've been searching for video caps with anything mentioning how Kat "only" shared her secret with Mandisa and Elliott, and I haven't found anything.  Does anybody have a direct link to where these mystery videos are? 

I'm sure Mandisa and Elliott were very supportive of Kat, but by singling them out without verification, it implies that the other contestants somehow weren't quite as trustworthy or supportive, and I don't believe that. 

I saw Mandisa speaking about it, but what I saw in no way showed or implied that she was one of only a couple of people who knew.  Based on what I saw on that one clip, you couldn't tell how many people knew.

That having been said, I do love Mandisa and Elliott for all the support they appear to be giving Kat.  I'm sure it helped her a great deal.

I DVR'ed Extra, and I had newfound respect for both Mandisa and Elliot after learning that. I liked them both to begin with. I hope that they and the other Idols remain friends for a long time. Its such a unique experience to go through with someone.
