Only the final 10 Idol contestants are included in the annual summer tour. I know we all expected her to get here, but it's exciting all the same! No matter what happens from now on, we can be assured of getting a chance to see Kat perform on the tour this summer. Congrats Katharine!!!

Does anyone know when information is made available about the summer tour locations? I've checked the AI website but didn't see anything about it. Also if anyone has had previous experience with it, do you know if tickets are purchased through Ticketmaster or how it works? Any information is appreciated! Thanks!

Ryan Seacrest will be announcing that something in Late April or Early May. Tickets go on sale in before the "American Idol" finale. That's what I remember. It will also be available on the "American Idol" website. www.americanidol.com

Thanks, William, for that information. I guess it's just too early for the info to be made available at this point. I found out the Season 4 group was only about an hour away from where I live last summer, but it was after the fact. I live close to a major metroplex, but my guess is that if they were this close to the area last year, they will probably go to a different city this time. I'll be listening this time for the information, though! Thanks!

I have to know when the summer tour is! Does anyone know when it was last year? How long did it last? Was it in June and July? Aaaaaaaahhhh... I'll be in England this July! I hope they come to Houston in June, or I'll die before I make it to Oxford... And they'd better come to Houston, not just San Antonio or Dallas, because I dunno if I could get anyone to drive me all the way to one of those places. We're talking four-hour drives times two to get home. Not sure how I'll even get to the one in Houston because my mom works during weekdays... well, maybe if it's at night, she could give me a ride... oh, it's so damned hard to go anywhere on my own. I'd get a license and a car, but I'm not sure I'll be going to college in the U.S., so it wouldn't last long...
