To My Kat Pack and McPhans,

What can I say? I love you all...Thank you so much for your relentless support and of course your VOTES!! No matter what happens I will always be indebted to you all for getting me to where I am today. So thank you, thank you, thank you ! You allow me to go up on stage every week and feel so FREE. OK everyone. I find it really difficult to believe that with how busy Katharine must be that she is writing in. I think that there is this phony  out there pretending to be Katharine. There is some phony on the .org site as well. Beware. This seems a little odd.

That's exactly why Katharine McPhee deserves to be the next American Idol winner! She's not afraid to convey her humility and immense gratitude to all the fans who faithfully vote and stand-by her musical gift. She's got a good heart too! That matters most of all. I wonder if any of the other contestants keep such close ties with their fans? I know Katharine and her family are extremely gracious in taking the time to recognize the fans, but do any of the other idols try that at all? Oh, and I must have gotten in a little too late for the blanket thing... =/ Anyone care to share what exactly it was?

I could've had my name on the blanket, but I didn't care for some reason. The blanket was something from the Kat Pack, I believe... which is a group on the American Idol forums... I remember they were talking about it, but I didn't feel like posting in that thread. I believe they just put a bunch of fans names on the blanket.

I wouldn't know if any of the other contestants "keep such close ties with their fans" since I only visit Katharine fan sites... I think I'll check out some Paris fan sites and find out about her, since she's my next favorite...

I was the one that did the blanket. It started out as an individual idea, and then I decided that it probably would mean more to Kat, if it came from all of her Kat Pack fans. So, I bought the blanket, I got the monogramming done, I shipped it off..but sent it as a Kat Pack gift. I attached the Kat Pack list to the blanket in an envelope, which was 600 and something members at the time, along with messages from the Kat Pack. The names or messages were not on the blanket..those were printed out and stuck in an envelope that was attached to the blanlet by ribbon. The blanket was light blue, Katharine's name was in a medium purple, and the outline of a cat was in a medium pink. It came out really cute! But yea, that is the story of the blanket. :-)

wow me and my friends (all of us closet a.i. fans) almost flipped tonight when Katherine went next to Pickler and Elliot. I had thought it was a case of everyone deciding that she was infallable after her strong performance and just assuming she'd get enough votes from other folks. But! Thankfully, off she goes to next week.

I was really hoping tonight would spell the end for Chris. Partly because he seems to be Katharine's main competition right now and partly because he covered Creed or Nickelback or something and I was just like ugh go away and plus my sister is giving him votes based on his hotness. I mean that's not to say Katharine isn't getting her share of omigod she is hott out of her mind woohoo!!! votes but hey she can sing a helluva lot better to back it up at least.

But man, Katharine's the truth. I'd love to see what she'd do to something totally unconventional. Katharine covering Nina Hagen would be amazing if not a little frightening but still. I also love how she made Brian May's heart explode dancing to "don't stop me now" before she changed it. Poor Brian, glory days over.

So yeah, thats basically just about everything I have to offer at this point.
