hey everyone i know this doesn't have to do with katharine but i thought if some of you don't know the lovely leona lewis then you should check her out right here. she was the winner of X-factor in london last year and is coming out w/ her CD soon. and her single is 'bleeding love' its fantastic and this live performance is on Xfactor. if u dont like it at first just stick with it to the end because the notes that she hits are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so..without any more rambling from me...

Leona's a formidable singer. I don't know if I like this song, but she definitely does well with it.

ya she really works it out. i love the end notes that are just belting and climbing the octave every few counts. SO GREAT!!! i love when singers do that.

i love leona! she's one of the greatest singer that i've seen in a long time!
and her cd is amazing
i know that she's going to release her video in the usa in a few days..

i'm so pleased that this thread is being brought back a bit!!! leona deserves the recognition. she is about to start her US promotion! im so excited. her first stop i believe is OPRAH!!! which is great exposure. and im sure she'll make a stop on american idol at some point this season. anyways there is too much news on leona to say it all but hope some of you take a look at her!! she has 3 music videos from her CD so far out in the UK, and one out in the US..ill post them below for anyone who's feeling dangerous

I see someone's a fan... Have you seen her performance at the Brit Awards? It was really good but I think the video's been taken down everywhere. I have a pretty good version here somewhere, let me know if you need it.

hehehe YESSSS im a huge fan of leona. ive watched that performance many times actually!!! it was a great one. although lately it seems like her voice has been just a bit tired. b/c at the beginning towards the middle of her promo in the UK she could belt all the way through the big end notes w/o stopping. did u see her on wetten dass? or something haha popular german tv show i heard. twisted arent u in germany??

and sorry everyone for posting so much on my own thread its probably really annoying haha but i just love this girl

i watched the x factor because of her.. i didn't know who she was.. so i started to download the episodes..
i became a big fan!
she's amazing!!

for me, her best performance is bleeding love on the xfactor's premiere this year... that was fantastic...

everyone today leona lewis's debut album 'spirit' is available on itunes and in stores!!! everyone go get your copy!! it is a 5 star CD without a doubt. a mix of edgy, contemporary and classic sorts of ballads. great R&B feel to some songs on the CD. i have been following leona for quite some time now and she is just an amazing girl. so nice and sincere, humbly, and most of all has probably the freshest and most astounding new voice in the music biz right now. so if you haven't heard her check her out!

I'm sure Leona is a wonderful singer.I just have a problem with Simon Cowell and what he may have done to diss Kat in favor of his protege,Leona.
I was just reading last week's Entertainment Weekly article about Leona Lewis,"The Next Mariah?".Simon has"coached her to fame" and he and Clive have co-produced her CD,Spirit.
Simon was on Oprah with Leona recently...doing his usual pimping routine!

It just occurred to me that Simon does have a real Conflict of Interest here!
He was almost raving about Kat's performances on Idol and then seemed change to his tune.Now I'm seeing why he may have decided to skewer Kat and we have the "not mainstream" and "hasn't got the goods" kinds of negative of statements.Kat and Leona might possibly be future competitors in the music market.
Since Simon is invested in Leona's success,he decided to trash Kat and make the way easier for his girl.Just a theory....if true..it sucks!

i can't speak for simon, but i can tell everyone that leona is a class act and a brilliant singer at that. hopefully noone gets deterred from leona's beautiful voice and look b/c of simon! i would love to see kat and leona duet. i think i would probly faint if i ever heard the 2 together in a song..i would be IN LOVEEEEEEEEE. although im already in love w/ both of them hahhaa

Sorry.....can't agree about Leona.Sure she can sing,but I do not think she is exceptional at all!Frankly,I found her song,Bleeding Love to be quite boring,and as her mentor,Simon often says of other singers' performances...."forgettable".
What's the big fuss all about?Sort of like the Emperor's New Clothes,but Simon's pimping is paying off!
