Happy Birthday Young Lass! I wish you a year filled with love, laughter, peace, joy and harmony. Happy Birthday Kat Cokas, enjoy the day and may it be full of sunshine!
Happy Birthday Miss McPhee! And yes her birthday is tomorrow (3/25) if anyone is confused or forgot. But we just had to get a jump on things.
I believe what prompted it was someone bumping up the thread from last year which is what confused me for a second why everyone was wishing her a Happy 23rd Birthday and then I looked at the dates and they were 3/23/07, 3/24/07, 3/25/07...
Anyway...Happy Birthday Katharine! There that works the best!
Happy Birthday Katharine and may all your dreams come true.

Happy Birthday Katharine!
I would put up a celebratory graphic but I didn't have time to make one. Anyway it's really amazing to just think that 2 years ago, we all layed eyes and ears on your glorious body and voice from when you first auditioned for American Idol. The day you decided to audition for that competition was your stepping stone of success. Since then you have grown so much and have experienced a lot. You worked with great people and met a lot of familiar faces, some new of course but you touched all of those faces in one way or another. You made a successful first album (regardless of what others might think) and have made many appearances on talk shows, magazines, etc. You recently got married to the man of your desire and are currently working with David Foster on your next album. From here things can only get better for you and I can't wait to see what is in store for us lucky fans. Enjoy this day Katharine as if it were any other day because like you said "Age is just a number". Everyday, for you, is a success.
Well, Kat, at least you're past that mysterious number of 23 now that seemed to permeate around (and in a Jim Carrey movie) last year. But now we have to think of other references to your new age of 24. And, of course, what better way to celebrate than to have a reference to, yes...the TV show "24?" I think that's quite appropriate when it's one of your favorite TV shows. But how do we work such a tribute in on your birthday?
How about samplings of what you and Nick might do to save the world (or at least "American Idol") within a 24-hour period on your 24th birthday?
--8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m.: Kat and Nick wake up to a beautiful morning, but get a call from Nigel Lythgoe that a lone terrorist (a possible former "AI" reject) has taken over "AI's" studio and is demanding Kat to sing again on the show...or Simon gets more than a buzzcut...
--9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.: Kat and Nick plot to go to Television City and try to not only wipe out the terrorist holding the studio, cameramen and crew hostage, but also attempt to prevent the terrorist from pushing the big red button under the judges' desk that will detonate and blow up the entire studio.
--12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.: After a two-hour explanation from Nigel Lythgoe explaining to Kat and Nick on the cell what that little red button is for (it has something to do with preventing an FBI raid and an American/British Revolution from taking place in the studio)--Kat and Nick both manage to get inside the studio through the air duct...
--3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.: Kat and Nick manage to get into the building after realizing all afternoon that "AI" pumps Muzak into the studio and into the air ducts during off-hours...all written and performed by that strange kid who looks like Clay Aiken who now has a new career. This is close to a terrorist action on its own, but Kat & Nick focus on the matter at hand.
--6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.: As a way to lure the terrorist backstage, Kat sings "Something" from backstage and attempts to knock the terrorist out with one of her heels--but misses. Instead, the terrorist passes out and dies from realizing that he was almost hit by a pair of heels owned by Katharine McPhee.
--10:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.: After realizing that the terrorist rewired the judges' desk to blow up by 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning (and locked all the doors so no one can go out or in)--Kat and Nick attempt to defuse the terroristic device. Opening up the inside panel, pouring the mysterious beverages from the nearby Coke cups into the works doesn't help anything.
--1:00 a.m.-2:00 a.m.: Realizing that they all may be doomed, the entire "AI" crew communes around the desk to tell secrets never uttered before. Randy thinks Kat is the next Whitney Houston, Paula thinks Kat's the next Mariah Carey...Simon admits to trying on that famous "I Have Nothing" yellow dress after Season Five ended...
--6:00 a.m.-7:00 a.m.: Faced with an imminent demise--Kat, with the help of the FBI, CIA and NSA calling via cell from outside manage to realize one thing: The judging desk bomb can apparently be defused by David Foster who designed it to keep Simon from saying what he REALLY thinks each week. Getting Foster on the line, typing in the secret password of "I didn't pick it!" turns the bomb's timer off.
--7:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m.: Television City is saved and Kat ends up having one of the most memorable birthdays of her life...other than that one time when she saved music from getting a little too stale...
Here's hoping you don't have to spend your birthday trying to rub out terrorists or defusing a bomb--but know that you deserve a more than happy one.
Have fun and keep celebrating all that you've achieved...
Happy Birthday, Kat. I hope you get a puppy -- a great big Labrador that little Nena and Larry can boss around. Love, Nancy B.
