I wanna know right now if Al Gore's responsible for this! At least my curiosity was satiated after playing Sesame Street's "One of these things is not like the others" for a few seconds.
Well, I try to be as environmentally-conscious as possible, but I guess I'm in the dark in clothes hangers being an environmental threat lately. Then again, every little bit counts in the vast environmental picture--and promoting the Ellis Island event (which might be covered in ocean someday if global warming progresses) isn't a bad thing.
Frankly, I miss seeing the Ellis Island commercials lately. I guess those were intended to only air up until about October or so--because they stopped then. Before that, Fox News was showing the Kat commercials (where she sings "This Land is Your Land" to those uninitiated) every half hour. When bookmarking some of my freelanced articles around that time--places like Yahoo and other major online media outlets had Kat as one of the Top Three internet searches because of the eye (and ear)-catching ads.
Considering I already have a huge collection of metal clothes hangers going back a generation--I probably won't get rid of those. Nevertheless, it doesn't matter to me what new clothes hangers are made out of. Obtaining something like this would be suitable if it truly makes a difference in the environment and getting Ellis Island's goals met. Maybe in some kind of future Kat collector's universe--having her image on a hanger might be something worthy for eBay in fifty years.
No mention of Kat here, but the CEO of Hanger Network is holding up Kat's Ellis Island hanger in the video interview below. I like random Kat spottings, especially when I'm not looking for her.
