Youtube links to other radio interviews. I refuse to get into Randy bashing. He put Katharine on his album and is pushing her single (or is it a double since Elliott is on it too?) so right now he's okay by me, even if I don't always agree with him. Seems like he's doing the same thing to Syesha he used to do to Katharine--comparing her to whoever's songs she's singing, like she should pick something totally obscure and not touch anything by Mariah, Whitney, or whoever he happens to like, maybe because he worked with them. it's the classic Idol dilemma--they're singing covers, if they pick something relatively well known, how can they not be compared, to some extent, to the original? They're supposed to either (a) make it their own, or (b) not mess with a sacred classic. You hear both comments. There is no logic to it. It's just whatever strikes a certain judge a certain way at a certain time.
Anytime one can hear Katharine's voice, whether singing or just saying a few words, is music to my ears! And I still say, it's pretty hard to get a decent word in anywhere when the interview contains Randy Jackson and disc jockeys!
